"Fear is the main source of superstition, and one of the main sources of cruelty. To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom." - Bertrand Russell
Good morning all, hope that you had a wonderful week and a thankful Thanksgiving!
I know many of you will smile at this, but it has been a little chilly here in Florida. Well, chilly for us anyway. But not as much of a problem as many of you had no electric for turkey day. It is odd, Bill always was the one that was cold, but Thursdayevening I thought that I was. :)
We had a wonderful gathering at the house. As always David was the chief cook and bottle washer! He did a great job and plenty to eat! It sadden us to find out that he would not be with us at Christmas. He only has one day off that week, and Christmas is the day. He is going to spend it with his Mom. Which is only right. Now lets see if the rest of us can get things together without him. :)
One of the great treats I had for Thanksgiving (to be thankful for) David & Pat hooked up the pump to drain the pool. I have a major decision to make on that pool. Many things wrong with it so it does have to go. Not sure if I will replace it, it will all depend on the cost. Although I love my pool!
One of the things we did not do this year is draw names for Christmas. It has worked so well in the past, but when it was brought up it seemed only one wanted to do it. Sad, it seems everything is slowly going away.
Another thing I miss from the past is making all those pies and home made bread, but I just have to know my limit, and I believe I have come to it.
Next week looks like a busy week for me. Monday I get the shot in my eyes, Tuesday I go to the cardiologist, Wednesday I work the launch, Thursday Cocoa goes to the Vet and at night I meet my old friends from work for dinner.....full week for me.
Nancy has had a heavy load this week, over booked you might say. She has been hurting and there is nothing I can do for her. Please keep her in your prayers.
Diana did the Black Friday thingy again. I think she just loves to shop for bargains! Up and about at 5:30 looking for deals. One of the things she noticed is a drill we bought at Home Depot was on sale for $10. less than what we paid for it. She was taking it back and if they wouldn't give her the $10. she would return the one she bought and get a new one! I guess I just don't have that kind of energy.
A couple of men from the church came by to look at the dog house yesterday. It sounds encouraging so maybe they will take it. We will see.
Want to wish the best of birthday's to Paul Bennett on the 5th. The best of days to you. My friend Bet tells me that you are still in contact with her niece. That is so nice of you!
Speaking on my friend Bet, she and her husband Don are home after being I don't know how many states with their beautiful travel bus. They have been gone since July and it is great to have her back home. She and I had lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant
I felt so bad that I could not make it to Uncle Omar's 90th birthday last Sat. Diana didn't get off of work until late afternoon and it is a three hour drive over there I am going to try to post some pictures from Facebook in case you didn't see them.
It is so wonderful that they could be together on this special day.
Have a wonderful week and Remember no one loves you like you do! So take really good care of you!
Lots of Love
a (aa) g~
