"Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy." - Anne Frank
Good morning all, I have had a pretty busy week and have tried to stay out of trouble. :)
Wanted to start right of and make your day with a smile from August. He is going to be a big boy, not to say he isn't now.
So how is everything going with you, come on now something is going on share it with us.
On Monday went to see my specialist for my eyes. My Dr. that I had for two years has moved on to bigger and better things and I have a new Dr. Not quite sure that I have the confidence in him as I did the other one...but be that as it may.....he has decided that my eye's are stable and that I do not need the shots. We will check it out again in two months. See how that goes..
You see when you get old like me, the only news you have is your Dr. visit's :)
On Tuesday, I went to visit my cardiologists, it wasn't a pleasant visit, but it isn't his fault that my body is falling apart. One of the things he wants me to do is go to Shands in Gainesville for test and maybe surgery. My first thought was no way, I do not have good feelings about that hospital and what they did for/to Clyde. But after talking to a few important people that I know and love I have decide that maybe I will. We will see what is ahead of me.
On Wednesday, went out to work the prep for launch. I had to be there at 7 and I would leave at 11. But that is not the way it turned out. I know I am old and I am living in the past but it was the most unorganized event that I have every worked. Went out on a bus with the press and it went on for ever. In the past when I worked this they had 20 min to put out their camera's and we moved on to the next spot. Oh well like I said I am living in the past. Don't believe I will be working anymore launches.
I am so happy we got all 27 people on the Christmas list for the elderly taken. To make it even better the gentleman that I chose, will have T-shirts for Christmas. Went to Penney's on Thursday and picked them up. Now to get them wrapped.
Thursday evening my neighbor and I went to a gathering of the people in my old office for dinner. It was great to see everyone! John & Betty Valentine were there and John is recovering from more surgery. But he has a positive attitude and is hanging in there. My old boss & his wife (Gary & Carol) were beaming....they just became new grandparents. My dear friend Lori's Dad is now 105. he is not happy with life but he is hanging on...
Saw on Facebook where Joyce went to Augusta to be sworn in for her next two year term on the State of Maine Legislature. While she was there she tried out one of the Senator's chair's just to see how it fit:)
I am so happy we have all 27 of the elderly chosen for Angel gifts. I chose the one with the 4x T-shirt as I told you. Getting the gift wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My friend Karen pointed me in the direction of Penney's on line but I went there. Could not believe it they had all kinds of xxxx large shirts. So I got the gentleman two and will put in a $25 gift card. We try to make sure that they all get the same amount $50. So that is another thing I took care of this week.
Today I am going to the Federally Employed Women's Christmas party over in Cocoa. Got to say I chose the best of choice to bring. Chips & Dip. You can't go wrong there :)
Remember no one loves you like you do! So take really good care of you!
Have a great week!
Lots of Love
