Family... Like branches on a tree our lives may grow in different directions but our roots will stay as one!!
Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! How is the snow situation where you are? I thought that Lana would be waist high in it, but the last time I talk to her it wasn't bad.
Well I will start right off with my disappointment that I will not be able to make Uncle Omar 90th birthday. Normally it wouldn't have been nothing for me to go over there. But my eye's are not as good as they should be to drive in unfamiliar area. And so it begins... So, I hope they take a lot of pictures and post them so we can all share their joy of being together. Diana is going to try to get of work early but I don't think that will happen.
Got to say that things are moving slowly here but we are heading in the right direction. Got the garage door fixed by a very nice young man and he only charged me $50, plus he seen that I had a shingle lose by the chimney and climbed up there and fixed it. So far I have been very lucky in the people that help me.
I do think the plummer took me a little though, but not sure. They couldn't hook up the washer because the faciet were frozen. So the plummer came didn't take him long and charged me $147. Of course he found something else that needed to be done and he would have to come back for that and it would be a two hour job. $$$$$
The good news is they came and hooked up my new washer and took the old one (don't know if I mentioned it but it was smoking and I didn't want to take a chance on a fire) away and didn't charge me anything. So that is a brake!
The other good news for me is I finally got in touch with the handy man Bill used. He is working on a job in Daytona but he is going to come by on Monday to set up the pump to pump out the water in the pool. Not sure what I am going to do with it be on that point but it is a start.
I have picked the Sanitation people to put in my new drain field. I got several estimates, some were exactly the same as their and others out of this world. But these are the people that I use for my septic so I went with them.
Hope everyone is already for Thanksgiving. It is a wonderful holiday for friends and family. As in the past David is the chief cook and he does a wonderful job. I got the frozen turkey on Tues. Judy is concerned that it will thaw to soon. But here it is Sat., and it shows no signs of thawing. Hope it does soon. Wishing you a wonderful turkey day. We will certainly be aware of those that are not with us this year but we will be thankful for when they were.
Nancy is struggling with the pain and the fact she has to go thru most of this again. She is working, which makes her sore. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Diana is doing well after her bout with shingles and is back at work. It is their busy time so she is working long hours. She has told both Todd and Krista that since she will be getting home later that they will have to start cooking. I know Krista is a good cook, but on Todd's night they will have to settle for hot dogs. :)
Please let me hear from you and send pictures if you can I love to share with everyone.
Remember no one loves you like you do! So take really good care of you!
Have a great week!
Lots of Love
a (aa) g~
