"Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breads confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Get out and get busy." Dale Carnegie.
Good morning everyone, hope this has been a fulfilling week for you! I can't complaint it is what it is and it seems to be going alright!
It is truly hot here, and we have been blessed with some rain, not always when I want it but we got it just the same.
I have been working in the yard and seem to be making some progress but with the size of my yard I will never get it done. Worked on my roses the other day and sprayed them, then I sprayed for weeds. About two hours later it poured.....so I don't think what I did will do any good.
Last Saturday Dad and I watched the Preakness. He really enjoys those races for some reason. But there will not be a Triple Crown Winner this year.
Diana went to Dad's on Sunday and took him the TV guide from the paper. He is all set when he has that. Judy had subscribed to the TV Guide for him but it was to confusing for him. He won't take the paper and he relies on Diana to bring it. I can see a real mess coming up for him and the TV. All the shows are going off for the summer that he watches. Looking for suggestion from you to help steer him in the right direction. These are the shows he likes NCIS, Blue Blood, Vegas, all the CSI's....so if you know of a show along those lines please let me know...as you can see he has a hard time leaving CBS
Forgot to mention last week that sister Judy took a tumble coming out of her barn and broke a rib! OUCH! But between her and Greg they keep moving. He waits on her and she waits on him. He is now taking Phys. Therapy for his knee. Speaking of Greg, I want to wish him the best 46 birthday ever!!! Happy Birthday Greg tomorrow!
Sister Helen is in her new home and is quite happy. She really likes it and is slowly getting it furnished. In a couple more weeks she will be coming to stay with Dad for 3 weeks and then on to Maine for her nursing reunion
.
Sister Joyce is hard at it in Augusta, they are working on a budget and so far it has not worked out. Spending long hours fighting for what she believes in.
On Tuesday I had a cyst cut off my elbow again. This is the 2nd time. Would like to say it was 1,2,3 and all was well, but Wed., it was hard having a bubbly personality for Dad.
Lana is on call for Dad 24 hrs a day. Got to say it is her own fault (sorry Lana) she is always telling him if he needs anything to call her. He says he tries not to call her but he calls her for the smallest things and she has worked all night. He doesn't call me for those things because he says I live to far away.
Yesterday was Baxley Manor day and again the cupboard was bare. Lori and Jan do such a great job shopping for them, they make the small amount that we have go a long way. But the cupboard is filled once again.
Terrible thing that happened in Okla, most of my friend Bet's family lives in that area. Thankfully no one was hurt.
Just a reminder, love to hear from you but when you write to me will you make the font a little bigger, it makes it easier for me to see.
Well I guess that is about it for this week, please remember no one loves you like you do! Oh, yes one more thing....I have not been sending my prayer list for some reason it does no work with the new type of xl that I have, can't open it. So if you have someone that you would like on the prayer list please send me their names and we will start over again.
Lots of Love,
