Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week. Mine has been busy as usual. The weather here has kind of been a mixed thing. Great weather for the weekend & Monday, then the fun began. Did get some work done in the yard but of course I still have lots more to do.

On Saturday, Lana, Shari, Dad & I had dinner at the Olive Garden. As he always reminds me "Its a family place" He only ate about half of what he got but took the rest home for Sunday. That always amazes me at one time he thought if you took stuff home you were a pig....but times change don't they.

Received this picture on Saturday....a Dad's work if never done
As we all know it is a hard job being a parent and you have to get your sleep when you can! Then of course there is Eloise...what can you say

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, it was very quiet around here.

Took Dad to the wound center and the Dr. said it was looking better. Dad is sure it is because we are taking him back down there to have it bandaged. (Lana & I are not too sure of that)
Anyway this week he had to go back both Wed & Fri. Since I go down on Wed., I just got up at 5 and made the trip again.

On Monday, Pat finished emptying the pool! You know what is coming next don't you? In the afternoon on Monday they had a bad storm north of us. We could see the lightning & hear the thunder but we didn't get any rain. On Tuesday we could smell the smoke, believe me it was very strong. It wasn't long before we couldn't see the house across the street or our barn in the back of the property. Ash was everywhere. It seems that lightning struck on the Center and it was working it's way toward us. Thankfully they got it contained but for a while there we were worried. It is still smoldering we can smell the smoke and the wind is still blowing.

Our house is at the top right...

Had an appointment for blood work this week, never look forward to it because it is so hard for them to take my blood. But this time was the first time this year I was there and you have to fill out all those dam papers again! It really upsets me, because I have been going to that Dr. for at least 10 years, he has all my info and then some. Of course with my eye problem I can't see the small letters (they try to get 10 pages of info on two). So I always have to bring them home to do it. Is it just me or does that upset you also?

Thursday it rained all day, but it was a wonderful day! It truly was my day off. I didn't even go to the store. I am sure my car was shocked.

I would like to thank everyone for their cards & great messages wishing me a Happy 75th birthday. It was a great day! Got lots of calls and I found out that I am the not the only one in the family that will never be on American Idol Diana took me to lunch and we shared my favorite "molted Choc cake" at Chili's.

We (Lana & I) are on countdown for Joyce, it really has been trying on us this go around. Judy is off to Salem, to help with the babies while everyone moves up there. Helen is also on countdown for her new house, it should be ready in May.

I guess that is about it for this week, hope all is well with you and yours. Remember no one loves you like you do!
Lots of Love,

a, aa, ~g~
