Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week. This morning my get up and go, has got up and gone and I am having to make myself do things. I really have gotten into procrastination in the last few days. Hopefully I can get myself out of it soon! I don't believe that we will be having any cool weather till winter. It is quite warm and humid.
Wanted to share this picture with you, it is a couple of weeks old, but Dad really loves his onions! In this picture I don't know if you can see it but he has more onions than he does salad
We took him to Shells this past Sat., he loves their clam chowder.
On Sunday morning my Granddaughter Stacey took me to brunch for my birthday at a place called Simply Delicious. It is in Cocoa Beach, it was great! Thanks so much Stacey for being so thoughtful.
Poor Diana, she has been having a hard time with fleas this year. One of the reasons being that one of her dogs has decided he likes to dig.....under the fence in the back yard. On the other side of that fence is a ditch, so he has been spreading the joys of fleas around the house. She and Todd filled the holes under the fence since Stacey was coming with her two dogs and they had the house sprayed again. But to no avail, Stacey's dogs went home with some of them. It is a constant battle here in FL and they say it has been worse the last five years. She had her house sprayed this week, got med's from the Vet for the dogs and plans to have them come and spray again in a couple of weeks.
On Monday I took him to the wound center, the Dr. said that it was looking better so he wouldn't have to come back for two weeks. He also turned the bandaging over to the Home Health Care Nurse. Both Lana and I felt with Joyce coming we would get out of that trip and it still is true, but Joyce don't have to go either.
Came home and got ready for my Planning & Zoning meeting in Viera. We had a couple of interesting items, none of them close to me. We have a place called Lake Poinsette which is located in Cocoa. It is in the country of course and they want to put a recycling plant right in the heart of where people live. I never knew so many people lived out there, there must have been at least 50 of them quite upset at the plan. Of course the company had not met with them and told them their plans so after listening to all of that for over and hour we tabled it so they could meet with the homeowners so on the 22 we will go all over that again.
On Tuesday, I took my car in for it's 50,000 mile service. I still think I should get a tax break on my gas since I am a medical mobile.
Also that day I finally got my income tax done. Bet you didn't drag you feet like I did. Every year I say I am going to do it early and get it done....but I don't!
Wednesday I was back at Dad's again. The home health care nurse had already been there and he was not happy! He said she had not done it right! For the three hours I was there that was the main subject. I know nothing abut that stuff. On Thursday, Lana redid his bandage, she said it was much too tight and his leg was starting to swell.
On Thursday, I had lunch with my dear friend Bet. They have just bought a new coach. They have great camping plans....I think that is wonderful, but it isn't for me. Her niece Johanna is still struggling, so please keep her in your prayers.
Lana was there when the nurse came yesterday to Dad's, she explained to her what she was doing wrong. She did most of what Lana told her, hope she does better on the leg next week or I will have to call the wound center about it!
Yesterday I ordered new tires for my car....not cheap I tell you.
Joyce arrived safely yesterday, we are so pleased to have her. Bless her heart she has been fighting a cold all week. Maybe this Fl weather will help her get rid of it.
The only birthday I have this week is my daughter Dawn's on the 19th. She will be 21 as far as I am concerned. Hope she has the best of birthdays!
Patrick has gotten a promotion at work, so proud of him. Just don't see him enough.
Well I guess that is it for this week. Hope all is going well for you and yours! Remember no one loves you like you do!
Lots of Love,
