“Our deepest need is for the joy that comes with …knowing we are of genuine use to others.” Eknath Easwaran (12/17/1910 - 10/26/99 was a spiritual teacher, an author of books on meditation)

Good morning all, hope that this has been a healthy week for you! How is the weather where you are? We have kind of had a mix bag for weather this week. The only thing that has been constant is the wind. In the morning it has been in the low 40's and in the 60' during the days but the last couple of days it has been in the early 70' with the wind from the north, making it pleasant in the afternoon but a little chilly in the morning.

I am so thankful, when Lana is off work on Sat., she & Shari go with Dad and I out to eat. Tell you the truth I am a little nervous that something will happen to him on my shift. So far he has fallen, and slam his finger in the car door. So I really feel better that they are going with us. This last week we had dinner at Applebea's.

Thought that I would share this picture of Eloise showing her Grandmother how to work her phone
She sure is going fast isn't she.

On Monday, I took Dad to the wound center and his leg looked much better. They felt the reason his foot was so swollen was from the health nurse had wrap his leg wrong. It looked better so hopefully it will now start to heal. The only bad thing about that is another trip to the wound center for him. It is hard on Lana working all night and then taking him down there, not that it would be easier for me either.

Tuesday, they put a heart monitor on Bill. He wore it 24 hrs. A couple of hours after they took it off, they called and told him that his heart almost stopped 3 or 4 times during the night and wanted him to agree to get a pace maker. Well, guess what he did agree! So the Dr. got in touch with Tampa the main center here in Fl for the VA he sent the reading to them. We got a letter yesterday from them that said that they had turned him down for a pace maker at this time. But if he has dizzy spells and falls a lot they will reconsider! I personally think it is because he has that bad valve, plus this problem.

This was the chosen week to empty the pool. It has to be painted. Bill's grandson Pat came over and worked with him. It has been a very slow process, and I think Pat is tired of it. Bill has to supervise everything and when he gets tired all action stops! They have been at it since Tuesday and it still isn't empty.

You know if you sent me a note telling what is going on with you and yours....you might get some news other than mine.  Sue tells me that Paul was in the hospital, but he is out now and doing better.

I have someone else I would like you to add to your prayer list. A very dear friend of mine husband was riding his motorcycle to work and had a bad accident. We are not sure what happen, but he is in very bad shape. His name is Fred Getter, I just know with added prayers he will improve!

Granddaughter Krista came home for the weekend from VA. She is quite excited that she is home, but people are standing in line to see her and she is only going to be here a short time. I did have dinner with her and about 20 other people on Thursday evening but we didn't get to talk much.

I checked my BD list twice and there was no one on it. If I missed you please let me know.

Well tomorrow is a very special day, and I want to wish you all a Happy Easter.

Tell you one thing Lana and I are waiting with anticipation for sister Joyce's visit!

I guess that is it for now, have a wonderful week and remember no one loves you like you do!
Lots of Love,

a, aa, ~g~
