"Don't be so humble - you are not that great." - Golda Meir (1898-1978) to a visiting diplomat

Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week. The weather here has been a little cool, but I think this will be the last cool down for a while...we will be asking for it back before we know it.

Took Dad to "Shell's" for dinner last Sat. He really has been there many times, just don't remember it. He loves their shrimp and clam chowder. Clam Chowder was one of Mom's favorites and he wouldn't eat it because of that. But I guess he has forgotten that and really enjoys it.

He loves company and always looks forward to a visit. Diana goes down every Sunday and he looks forward to it. But this Sunday he fell asleep while she was there. He felt so bad about it.

He is really looking forward to Dancing with the Stars on Monday! He just hopes those women where more clothes, he doesn't want to see that, he wants to see them dance.

Took him to the wound center on Monday, and there were more bones coming out of that wound. He gets so discouraged of course he just wants it to heal up, and of course it won't as long as the bones keep coming out.

Met Karen for lunch at a different place. Helen & I had breakfast there and it seems like a good place to eat so I suggested we try it. Well they may be great for breakfast, but they are sorry for lunch. But that didn't stop us we still tried to solve the problems of the world but as always tried was the word.

Tuesday was my day off and of course he rained. Not complaining about the rain but Bill is this way if you say you are going to do something you do it. We had planned to go to Rockledge Garden for my roses. I wanted to delay it but oh no we had to go. I was soaked in just a short time so I convinced him to wait another day.

Of to Dad's I went on Wednesday. He was all upset, he needs three new windows and had Home Depot come out and give him an estimate. No I decided a long time ago I might buy what I need from them but I will get my own contractor to do it. He just went on and on about the $1870 that they would charge him. They just don't know what he went without to have that money, he wasn't going to throw it away.

Got a note from Elaine, she is back at work part time and has survived the worst of the surgery.

After I returned home on Wed., we went back to Rockledge Gardens. I love that place and what a wonderful choice of Roses they had. These roses bush are my Valentine and birthday gift and boy did I take advantage of that! We got 11 of the most beautiful roses. There was one more that I wanted but didn't think I had room for it.

On Thursday morning I took Bill to the heart Dr. at the VA. He has developed more problems and the Dr. wanted to put him on coumidin. No way he wouldn't do it. He told me later the reason was he would have to be on it the rest of his life. Oh well I can only do what I can do and leave the rest to the power that be.

Thursday afternoon my grandson Todd came over to plant my roses. He did a great job and even found room for that one more rose bush I wanted. It really looks great! Next week I will have a picture of it for you.

After all the snow pictures I have shared with you David sent me this, thought that you would get a kick out of it.

EVER WONDER WHAT TWO FEET OF SNOW LOOKS LIKE ??

WELL---- HERE IT IS----

HEY!! DON'T YELL AT ME--- I DON'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP--

Well, I guess that is about it for this week. Hope you have a great week and remember no one loves you like you do! Have a great St. Patrick's day!

Lots of Love,

a, aa, ~g~
