"Don't brood. Get on with living and loving. You don't have forever". Leo Buscaglia (American Author)
Good morning all, hope all has gone well for you this week. The weather here has been perfect but have I gotten work done in the yard? Heck no been to busy on the road to do anything.
On Saturday I went to Dad's after my vestry meeting. Had hoped to take him to Applebea's for dinner because it is close to where he lives....and although he always says it doesn't matter to him, he really means if I am ok with it we will go there.
When I suggested Applebea's, he began to tell me about all the ad's that he had seen on TV about Red Lobster and that you could get 30 shrimp for $12. So of course we went to the Red Lobster. I think every senior who lives in S. Brevard was there for the shrimp. Dad is not one who likes to wait for anything but he was this time while we waited 45 min to be seated. By the time we got out of there it was pouring rain, what a mess that was. But my feelings are that the Red Lobster is now back on his list of places to go.
I had hoped to have my new computer by now, but both my experts are under the weather, but hopefully soon I will get it.
On Monday I was up at quarter to 5 to get ready to go to Dad's and take him to wound center. Have to take the trash out first. Gosh, I don't see how they see it isn't even light when they come. Anyway not good news at the Center. Dad had more bone chips that the Dr. had to remove. Both the Dr. and Dad were disappointed. So no skin graph that day and the home health care nurse was back this week. Hopefully when we go on Monday all will be well and they can do the skin graph.
My poor brother-in-law Greg has been thru a lot this week (not to mention what Judy has been thru) He went last week and had his knee drained and a shot of cortisone, at first there was some relief but by Monday night he was in very bad pain. He spent the night in the hospital but they are still not sure what is causing all of this...They drained the knee again and will get the results next week some time. He is still in pain and I would like to asked you to add him to your prayer list.
Keep those prayers coming for my friend Bet's niece Jo Anna. It is now looking like she will loose her fingers to the first joint, hopefully that will be all. I pray all will be well with her she has lost her feet.
Tuesday was my day off, and I got to admit I didn't do anything.
Wednesday was Dad's day and also the day I had to go to court for my traffic ticket. Yes, I know most of you didn't know that but....I made a bad judgement and turned left where I was not suppose to. I think they should give you instruction of what will happen when you go to court, they just assume everyone knows what will happen. Anyway I was told if the police officer didn't show up they would dismiss the case but not my luck, he certainly was there and showed me where to go in fact he had given most of the tickets. My ticket was for $170. they charged me a $100 and no points on my record. The only good thing about it was the judge said I had a very impressive record from 1964 until I got the ticket......oh well there has to be something good about everything.
On Thursday my medical mobile was on it's way to Orlando to the VA. I still can't believe it, the Dr. said sometimes when you do biopsies the skin gets mad and heals right up. Can you believe that?
Grandson Todd is seriously thinking about joining the Air Force. I know in many ways it will be good for him but in one important way I don't want him in harms way. I really have mixed feelings about this.
Krista had her first job interview. She went on Thursday for and interview and they wanted her to come back yesterday. That will be great if she got a job so soon. Of course like everything else...she will have to wait until Monday to see if she got it.
Well that is about it for my week, what happened in yours?
Please take good care of yourself and remember no one loves you like you do.
Lots of Love
a (aa) g~
