It is with great sadness that I start my letter today. What a horrible thing that happened in CT. People shout that it is our right to bear arms, but something should be done about how easy it is to get guns. They certainly have my thoughts and prayers!
Well how did your week go? Mine was on the road almost every day doing something.
Last Saturday, Lana & Shari joined Dad & I for dinner at Longhorn. Dad is so funny in the past is anyone joined us and we got the onions, he would take one and make a face and would not take another. Lana handed him at least 7 pieces and he ate everyone of them with no facial remarks either!
On Sunday it was bring toys for the needy to church. I started several years ago taking large stuff toys. If the children that get them love them as much as the adults in church do, they will be a big success!
Thanks to Lana I had the Monday off, she took Dad to the wound center, and of course she waited forever! I guess I am blessed because we never have had to wait long when I take him.
Tuesday was "the shot in eye" day. If I could just get the shot when I walk in, it wouldn't be so bad. But the waiting in between is what really gets to me. I am never out of there in less than two hours.
On Wednesday, I took Bill to the VA Dr. to look at the area's that they were going to do surgery on. Guess what? The Dr. who sent him there was not specific on where the ones where that needed surgery, so nothing was done. He goes back to his regular dermatologist on the 10th of Jan...so we will have to go thru that again!
My friend Bet niece Johnna Campbell is a very sick young lady and it is very iffy if she will make it. Would you please put her in your prayers, as we all know prayer does wonderful things!
Want to wish a very happy birthday to my grandson in law Paul Mueller, he will celebrate on the 18! The best of birthday's to you Paul.
On Thursday I was off for a visit with Dad. It doesn't matter how long you stay he wants you to stay longer! But we had a nice visit and enjoyed out lunch.
On Thursday evening I met the old gang of mine from Payloads for dinner. It was so nice to see them, but sadly we had a long table and was not able to talk to everyone. We all agreed that next time we need to eat a large round table so we can talk to every one. They are all such wonderful people, so glad I had a chance to work with them
Have you ever seen a lavender Christmas cactus? I have an off white one, and a pick one. I put stems here and there and this year on one side a have lavender and some of the pink is orange. Something to see.....
Helen & Steph have finally made it to CA. It was a long trip for them and just as long for us waiting to hear just where they were every day. So thankful they are there safe.
Well today is a big day leaving soon for granddaughter Krista's graduation in Orlando. It starts at 9 and Diana feels we need to leave at 7....long day!
Today is also Bill & I 40th anniversary, and they said it wouldn't last.
I am so excited, the lady at church that took 7 of the people at Baxley for Christmas gave me her gifts last Sunday. She didn't buy them all, she had help but those people that she bought for will surly be blessed. They all asked for gift certificates and they all got big bags of stuff, almost feel sorry for those that are just getting a card with the gift certificate. But I am just thankful that everyone will get something!
Well I guess that is it for this week, not really moving this early in the morning
Remember no one loves you like you do! So take good care of yourself!
Lots of Love
