Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! Can't say mine was great, but it sure was busy. The only thing great are the weeds in my yard, they are being ever so fruitful!

  

 

 

Last Saturday morning the vestry at our Church had a retreat. We always walk the property and get a first hand look at what needs to be done in the coming year as well as address things that are coming up for the year. Our driveway has several pot holes in it and I had this great idea that we spend the money to put shells down in that area in hopes it would fix the problem. That is when I learned the county owns the (right of way) drive way thru the property. I also found out that the drive way to the north of the church is owned by the federal government. It seems many years ago, most likely before any of us was born there was a Post Office there. Well in my spare time I have decided to take that on....we will see how successful I am at that.

  

 

 

Of course on Sat., evening I took Dad out to dinner. It did not go well for me...I learned one thing I have no idea what he wants with his shrimp Scampi!

  

 

On Sunday morning I went out to the Press Site to help with the Press with the shuttle Endeavor.

 

It was supposed to leave here on Monday for CA, but due to the weather it stayed grounded until Wed. On Wed., I was at work at 4 only to find out it was really 5. I guess it didn't matter I was there. I felt so bad, my friend Bet & her husband Don wanted to see it, but they had to leave for OK on Tues. It was so sad watching it come down the runway. I always cry, it is the end of an era...about 7:20 it left us...

It is now in CA and will start the dangerous part of it's trip. In some places it will only have a few feet to clear the buildings...God's Speed Endeavor!

  

 

 

On Tuesday I had my shot in my left eye, it really doesn't hurt, but I don't look forward to it.

  

 

Tuesday evening I met with that old gang of mine from work. Most of us have retired, but some are still working. It was great seeing everyone and we plan to do it again next month.

  

 

 

I have been having problems with my Internet dropping off. I will be right in the middle of something and it is gone. On Monday I spent several hours on the phone with the Internet company and got no where so I sit up an appointment for Thursday morning 8-10. Did they come at 8, heck no they came at 9:45. What was important about that was I was going to Dad's. I left for Dad's about 10:45 and the guy was here until after 12. He was sure he had it fixed.....but it is like when you tell your husband the car makes a noises....it won't do it if he is around and of course I came home..and it did it again. He put a new wireless on it because he just knew the card was bad...don't know what to do now.

  

 

 

Dad was a little down, always hate it when he is that way. But we had a nice lunch, and visit and I was on my way home.

 

 

 

Yesterday I took Bill to the Dr. at the VA. I tell you I run a medical Moble

Also yesterday after more that a year trying to convince Bill to get the dead Orange tree's cut it got done! Nancy's Steve and his group come over and cut 7 of them. They were great tree's but dead they looked awful.

 

Today Helen & Judy will start on their trip south. Helen finally got to sign the papers on her house on Monday, so that is behind her. But she has quite a trip in front of her. Keep her in your prayers.

 

Got a nice note from niece Lisa telling me that frozen beans are great for the dogs teeth. So that is info for the future...

 

Want to wish a very happy birthday to dear friend Elaine & J'mee who will celebrate on the 25th. Hope it is the best one ever for both of you! Then my baby boy will celebrate on the 26th, Patrick will be 47, but he will always be my baby.

 

I guess that is about it for this week. Many of you I have not heard from in a long time...I know others would like to know what is going on with you so please share...
