'We are here to add what we can to life, not to get what we can from life'
William Oster was a Canadian physician. He was one of the founding professors at Johns Hopkins Hospital
Good Morning all, hope that you have had a great week! Harrah! I got some work done in the yard, got lots more to do but I made a dent! Still sick about my roses, but hopefully this week I will have time to stop and find out what they think is causing the problem at Rockledge Gardens.
Got to say this was a relatively quiet week, thanks to Helen & Judy. Lana & Shari are off to Rochester to help with Shari parents. So actually they just left one thing to go to do the same thing in NY. Dad went to the Dr office that did his surgery. He didn't see him but he did see the Physican's assistant and they were very pleased with how it is doing. The nurses are now back visiting him every other day. He had blood work for his coumidin also this week which Judy & Helen took him to as well as pick up his new contacts.. On the 8th he starts back to the wound center and Helen will take him. I don't know if you can understand what this means to me.
Judy has cut all the hedges, and got the weed & feed. Helen put it down! They have been a busy pair I will tell you. I don't know how Dad feels about it but I am forever grateful!
Diana has been quite busy, the Post Office is having a mail count, and has been for the last two weeks. I am sure most of you will recognize they are trying to do things faster and better, which looks to me that they are adding things for them to do and cutting down on the amount of time they are to do it. It will be over tomorrow and she will be very pleased.
On Monday, I had a Local Planning Agency meeting. One of the items involved the wetlands. Don't know how you feel about it but I would never vote to impact the wetlands, but it passed there were only four of us that voted against it.
Aren't these beautiful, my brother-in-law David took them
He sends me some of the most beautiful pictures that I have ever seen! Thanks David
Then there is this picture taken in S. Portland my nephew Rik Michard that is also great!
These are great wish I could even come close...
One thing that I have forgotten to mention is we have another football star in the family...Ian
Diana is going up there soon for a few days away and she will be watching him play!
Still working with the county to get the ditch cleared next to my drive way. Just so happen that Judy & Helen and I went to lunch at Chili's (you will never guess what we split ) and I ran into the County Commissioner and his right hand girl! Talked about them about it, see if that does any good.
I am still seeking info on the access road into the Church....the one thing I did learn the county does not own the right away thru the middle of the property, it seems that was settle a few years ago....but I still have to find out if the Post Office Rd is county or federal...
Yesterday was Baxley Manor Day. As usual Lori and Jan did a great job of getting much needed supplies. It is always so sad to see the cupboard so bare, but for now it is full again. Lots of things that food stamps won't buy, like toilet paper, tissue, tooth paste, shampoo. It is wonderful that we can still help them, always worry that the time will come that we can't do it. We can never thank the people enough that help makes this happen.
I guess that is it for this week, Please take good care of yourself and remember, no one loves you like you do! Have a great week!
Lot's of Love,
