"Family is not an important thing, it's everything." Michael J. Fox
Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! All I keep thinking about is how hot everyone thought it was in New England, got to tell you, you don't know what hot is! I have been able to save some of my plants but others are gone for ever! More pictures to share
On Saturday evening, we took Dad to the Olive Garden for his birthday. After all you know it is a family place. Nancy, Diana & her family, Joyce Dad and I. He was quite please to have everyone there. Joyce had plans for his birthday on Tuesday, the Maine lobster he had been so craving. Although Dad does very well in some respects he acts like a 5 yr old. He did not want to share his lobster, Joyce tried to tell him he didn't have to share but he didn't want too many people there when he had it, cause he didn't want to take the chance he would have to share. But all worked out fine Lana & Shari were there and they had a wonderful meal! Lots of pictures we taken at both events but I just wanted to share this picture of Dad & Stacey's dog Murphy. I think it is the best.

When we arrived in Maine Judy suggested that I get a sweat shirt....
and although the weather was beautiful I did , thank goodness for Joyce I would have froze to death if she hadn't given me a sweater. Can you believe that? Only in Northern Maine though. On Thursday evening we were off to my class reunion.
it was great fun, and I really enjoyed seeing everyone. The sad part was some of them I did not recognize, and of course I course I didn't have my glasses with me. Some people never change and I knew them right away ...always enjoy going back. Got to see my cousin Blair, he is a member of the VFW where the reunion was held. We were supposed to meet

up with him the next day but he had an appointment and we were running late. So sorry we didn't get to really visit with him. We also didn't get a picture of him so I borrowed this one from face book. Just got new about Blair, a couple of days ago he had a heart attack and drove himself to the hospital. He was transferred to the Hospital in St. John' and had a triple by pass. He is home already, please keep him in your prayers.
Friday we were off to the florist to pick up (artificial) flowers for the graves. When talking to the lady she told me that have a package that they will go and get them in the fall, then take them back in the spring for $15, so I jumped on it. Since the florist is in Presque Isle and the graves are in Fort Fairfield I thought it was a great deal. So at least now in the spring, Mom, Granpy & Grammy Willett and Uncle Don will have fresh looking flowers. Will have to rely on my cousin's up there to take care of Grampy & Grammy Adams, they don't go to Canada.
On Friday evening we met Carla at Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. This is another picture we forgot so I also borrowed this one from fb of her and Aunt Ruby before Aunt Ruby passed away.

We all had a great time catching up on everyone. It seems we also have other cousins in Presque Isle but we didn't get to see them. Having dinner at the same time we were there was the Governor of Maine! Joyce would have liked to introduce Carla to him but didn't because she was afraid I would say something of color to him! I have respect for any political person, it is a hard job! I may not like some of them but they deserve respect! Great visit thou with Carla.
The next day we were supposed to go to the Maine Potato Blossom Fe stable parade in my home town. The parade (where you can see everyone in town and then some) was not held until the afternoon. Joyce felt since she was leaving for FL the next day she should get home. Helen was worn out and felt that it would be too much for her so we took a trip thru town and headed back to Calais. Got to say I had several red hot dogs! Yum Yum.
The next day on our way to Helen's in Winslow we stopped in Bangor and met Clyde's sister Mary Ann daughter for lunch! What a fine young lady, her Mom would be very proud of her.
We had a great time talking about how all the family was doing, it was great to catch up. But it was too short of time, next time I hope I can see all the family....don't want to lose touch with them.
Then we were off to Helen's and spent the night. Then off to Salem to visit Judy's children and especially her grandbaby Eloise! Then we headed to Manchester, Ct. where we met up with Dudley. He chose one of my favorite places to eat...not for the food but for that wonderful desert that they have! Here he is with Judy.....
and not to be left out with me.
We had a great visit, he has a new grandchild and his wife Ann is the caretaker while his daughter works. He bought old photo's for us to see it was great, enjoyed the visit and it was so nice to see him.
Then off to Judy"s and Greg's for a few days. Love it there, quiet little place, nestled in the hills. Of course I am treated very well also. Then back home, everyone thought that it was hot on my trip but when I exited the airport in Orlando I knew what was hot! Pat & Dave will be leaving soon for their vacation in Maine. Hope they have as great of time as I did!
Want to thank everyone for making my trip so great! I really enjoyed it. Now I am back to my running again, can't wait for my next vacation.
I guess that is it for this week, let me hear from you. Please have a great week and remember no one loves you as much as you do.
Lot's of Love,
