I am aware that I am less than some people prefer me to be but most people are unaware that I am so much more than what they see.
Aysayako II Tumbler
Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week. How is the weather where you are....the rain has dropped off here and we will soon be complaining about the lack of it.
I am sure most of you have seen this picture...but let me tell you the story behind it.
First of all it is always the same answer when you asked Dad where he wants to go...It doesn't matter to me dear, you know I don't eat very much. But he had been talking about all the ads that Red Lobster was having on TV, and Lana said he mention the day before that is where he would like to go. I was very pleased Lana & Shari joined us for dinner, in fact Lana insisted on paying....Thanks again Lana & Shari! Anyway there was a very small lobster on his plate, forgot what it was called but it had shrimp, two different kinds and this small lobster. I got the same thing and quickly gave him the meat from my lobster, since he loves it so much. It took one taste of it and that was it...didn't taste good to him, he just can't get over it a place with a name like Red Lobster should have good lobster, and it doesn't! The only think he knew was he wasn't going back and thank heaven's Joyce would be here soon and she would get him some good lobster! I said but that is very expensive Dad. He said "Oh, no lobster is very cheap in Maine right now! So he is really looking forward to your visit Joyce.
As I mentioned last week the 19th was Eloise's first birthday...don't know what she got in the packages, but she sure like the wrapping paper.
While we are on the subject of Eloise, her parents Jess & Casey will be celebrating their 7th Anniversary on the 25th, want to wish them the very best for their day. Then on the 29th Kyle will be celebrating his birthday, wishing you the best on your special day.
Bill has wanted an avocado tree for years. Don't know how many seeds that he has tried to seed to get one. He was so tickled Nancy & Diana got him one for Father's day! He goes out every so often to make sure it is still doing well.
I was so thrilled on Wednesday they called me from the Press Site and asked me if I would be interested in going inside shuttle Atlantis. Of course I would what a crazy question....Atlantis launch
Got to sign my name on the wall
Don't know if you can see it but behind us is hole that we had to climb (back into) to get in. We got to see where the payload specialist sat and then climb up stars to the Commander and Co-pilot seats. Here I am in the Commander's seat...lots of thanks to Bet's husband Don for taking the picture and recording this special time for me.
Another exciting thing for me is I am having someone come this morning to cut the vines out of the Maple tree. I thought and thought about how I could do it and decided it was not a good idea for me to tackle that. Let you know next week how that goes...
Yesterday was Baxley Manor and the good Lord is still blessing us and making it possible for us to fill their cupboard once a month!
The other good news this week is Diana sold her boat, just one car to go.
I guess that is it for this week, hope you have a great week and remember no one loves as much as you do.
Lot's of Love,
