“We acquire the strength we have overcome.” -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! The weather here has been spring like and I think everyone is enjoying it. It soon will be very hot and we will all be complaining except Bill.

Saturday evening Dad, Judy & Greg and I went to the Outback for dinner. I thought Dad didn't like it because it was so dark...but I guess there is another reason that he didn't share with me. We all had a great meal and it is always great having the family with us.

On Sunday, Judy & Greg headed back to NJ. It was the only rainy day that we have had in a long while. But thankfully they made it home safely on Monday.

Monday morning I was up at 5:30 (rough with the time change) and off to Melbourne I went to take Dad to the wound center at 8. My theory was correct they book more than one for each time but thankfully we got there about quarter to 8 and we were there first. They took excellent care of him and want to see him every Monday for a month. We were out of there by 9:20...but since then Lana has learned from them that he has an infection in his leg and they want him to see an infection Dr. That has been set up ...no wound care this Monday...the infection Dr. Poor Lana she works nights as I have mentioned before and it is hard for her to get off work at 7 am and continue staying up to take Dad somewhere. I had planned to take him on Monday but she is off Sunday so she will take him on Monday.

Tuesday I was up at the same time to take Bill to the VA in Viera. He has to go back next week and it looks like the same schedule.

On Wednesday, the Home Care nurse was coming to see Dad and he doesn't like the one that was coming so he asked me if I would be there at 9 he didn't want to be alone with her. I knew in my mind that Lana would be there but she had to work Tuesday so I had no problem going. The strange thing is we both showed up at the same time. She did his med's and I sent her home to bed. I had no problem with the nurse but you sure could tell Dad wasn't happy with her. Since then Lana has solved the problem an hopefully all will be fine.

Got a note from Jack, sorry to say he tells me Aunt Joyce & Uncle Omar are not doing well. His son & family spent a week with them recently. The good news that he shared with me is he is retiring the end of this month. He has been working since he had his first paper route....now it is time to rest...got news for him I wonder how I worked and did all the things I do now and work to.

When I went to see Sally Wed, I knew there was something wrong with her, she wouldn't eat and kept getting down on the ground and rolling. When I went back late in the afternoon the guy that owns the property said he was going to call her owner and tell him. Thurs, she would still come to me but had her head down and her tail up. I was so concerned and the guy that owns the property was not home. Yesterday morning I went over about 8 to check on her and someone was walking her, I assumed it was the owner. When I went back later she was gone. I hope she will be alright, she is certainly a light in my life.  I have been wondering, my friend Karen told me if she had to many apples it would cause her to colic.  I have only been giving her one apple a  day but don't know how many others just gave her one...I think if she is alright and comes back I will know off the apples.  But she sure loves them.  Anyone wants some apples?

Well I guess that is it for this week....no birthday's that I know of, or anniversaries. No pictures....If you have any news/pictures you would like to share, please drop me a note, love to hear from you!  Hope you have a great week, and remember no one loves you like you do!

Lot's of Love,
