"It always seems impossible until it's done" ~ Nelson Mandela

Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! The weather here has been quite cool...or cool for us down to 30 in some places. I believe I have lost some of my plants, hopefully not.

Last Saturday evening (New Years Eve) Lana & Shari jointed us for dinner at Longhorn. Longest waiting time we have ever had but Dad enjoyed his dinner.  He usually gets the 8 oz sirloin but they brought him the 19.98 steak that was wrapped in beacon. Most people would have been happy to get that but not Dad, he had to cut all the bacon off (cause you see to him that was fat). Anyway it was very enjoyable except the wait. Lana even treated us to dinner, which made it even more enjoyable.

Sunday of course was church, we only had one service because it was New Years day. But Fr. Roberts commented that it was the highest attendance he ever had on New Years Day...so that was great!

On Monday Diana & I went to the Movies. How appropriate the name of the move was New Years Eve. We both enjoyed it and then we had dinner at Chili's.

This week was Dr. week, although I have missed some of them that I shouldn't have. On Tuesday, it was time for my monthly eye shot. Although it isn't too bad getting the shots, it is the anticipation of it that gets to you. The good news is that my left eye is back to normal. He told me some people chose to go on getting the shots so that it doesn't come back and other people don't. He left it up to me, and I decided that since I have to go back on the 7th of Feb for my right eye they can check it to see if it is coming back so I decided to wait until then to make my decision. But that is good news don't you think?

On Wednesday I was off to Melbourne to take Dad for his Dr. visit. The Dr. said it was healing slowly but that should be expected because of his age. We made another appointment to go see him on the 25th. The home health care nurse comes just about every day. As you know Lana works the all night shift at the hospital, and Dad has to have his shower every other day. So if Lana is working and it is shower day, the nurse doesn't come because he gets his shower later in the day. It seems to work out for them.

Nancy had her Dr. appointment Wed., afternoon. I decided not to go with her but later I regretted it. The Dr. told her that her cancer was caused by her hormones, and the test reveals that she had three positives and it should have been 2 positives and one negative. I asked Lana about it and according to her it doesn't sound positive. So we will have to look into it further. The good news is she was given a direct line to Medicad and she got to talk to someone. It will take seven days to see if she qualifies but most likely it will only be partial because of her income...but 20,000 is in the high income bracket I guess it has to be 10,000 before they pay all of it.

On Thursday I was looking forward to a day home alone. But it was not to be. First the good news about Krista...she made the honor roll at college with only one more semester to go before she graduates. The bad news is she fell at work just before New Years and badly busied her ribs & back. She has a very hard time getting around, and is not able to drive....so I took her to the Dr. on Thursday. The Dr. said another two weeks before she can go back to work.

Then Nancy started her radiation on Friday so my hair appointment was moved to Thursday. In the mean time Bill was off to Viera for blood work and he assured me he could drive and do it fine. He was also to have his pressure taken and it seems it was way off and I missed this one. He had a EKG and he was warned if he felt dizzy or fell he should go to the hospital immediately. His pulse has been 40 or under. He is schedule for another appointment on the 27, you can bet I will be with him that time. Of course this means he shouldn't drive...but tell an 83 soon to 84 that!

So that left my Friday open for everything! But the only thing I did was go an get hay for Sally. I didn't get my order in to the barn soon enough so I had to go to the feed place and pick it up. I dreaded going because I knew I would buy treats or something for her and of course I did. She really brings me joy when she whinny for me...love it!

Of course this wouldn't be complete with out pictures but the only one I have is Eloise

Well today I am off early, We are meeting for breakfast at 8, and then a vestry meeting. Then of course this after noon off to Dad's.

Hope you have a great week! Remember no one loves you as much as you do!

Lot's of Love,
a, aa ~g~
