"We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do." - Mother Teresa
Good morning all, hope that you have had a wonderful week! Got to say that mine has been! The weather has warmed up and I have gotten to work in my yard some. My roses look fantastic! I am proud to say. Took some to Nancy yesterday. Cold weather returns today.
Last Saturday, I had breakfast with several people from my church and I really enjoyed it. The women at church meet once a month on Sat but they don't meat until lunch, which makes it hard for me and still go to Dad's. I like the idea of a breakfast get together better. Afterwards I had my first vestry meeting. We accepted the budget and walk around the property to see what needed to be done in the coming years. I wish there was a project that I could take on and do myself. Too bad I didn't live closer so I could take that new fangled thing that Bill got me for Christmas and ride around in my golf cart and pick up all those branches that have fallen! Speaking of branches, I have a broken branch in one of my tree's. Don't know how it happened, but the thing is bent backward and the piece that is sticking out looks like a spear. I have tried to knock it down but it won't budge. I guess I will have to climb the ladder and get it down before it becomes un wedged and hits someone (most likely me)
I have been on the go, up early it seems everyday for a month, Sunday I decided I needed a day off. Can you believe it? I had two days this week that my car never left the garage! Loved it!
Now by special request I am including pictures of Sally! She gives me such a thrill when I start out the drive way in my cart and she starts talking to me. As you can see she is well fed, I just spoil her. I don't own her but I love her to death. In the first picture she is telling me to get of that cart and give me my treat!
She is ready for her treat! Now how could anyone not give her a treat!
Tuesday turned out to be another lucky day for me! I told you that my family gave me a fancy big screen TV for my bed room. We since I have gotten it I have messed up the remote twice and had to call the cable company. The first time they talk me thru it but Monday night there just didn't seem to be a magic button to push that was right so they sent someone out on Tuesday. This technician was very through, it didn't take him long and he had my remote fixed, then he decided to check out the wiring....replaced all the wiring from the pole out front to the house, he said it was frayed in several places. I have been complaining for year that I needed a new modem for my computer. It cuts out and was making a notice, they would come out and check and say it was fine. But this fine young man checked it and said it needed to be replaced! WOW I considered that a good day!

Have been having a problem getting my carrots for Sally at my Publix. So last week I started to complain...Yesterday I complained to the manager. You see the big bag of their carrots are 3.98, to get the others it is 5.98. Anyway I got an answer today...it seems the people that make the sushi has been using them and not accounting for them. According to the Manager, that will change...so we will see. I never complain there, love that store and the people they are always helpful.
Nancy will be fitted for some kind of vest next week and then she will begin her radiation.
Well it has been a wonderful week for me, just had meeting, one Dr. visit, visited Dad on Wed. Very quiet! Love it. Next week I am back on the go again.
Have a great week, and remember know one loves you like you do!
Lot's of Love,
