"Always remember, there is more strength in you than you ever realized or even imagined. Certainly nothing can keep you down if you are determined to get on top of things and stay there." - Norman Vincent Peale

Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week. The weather here this week has been great, little cool at times but mostly in the high 60 or 70's. Can't complain about that! We are so in need of rain, everything is drying up and we are having brush fires all over central Fl.

Not a lot of news this week, but I will see what I can do...my hummingbirds have been busy already this morning so it is going to be a good day!

Dad is doing well, he complains a lot that he feels great but can't do anything but other than that he is hanging in there. The home health care nurse still comes and changes the bandages on his leg. It is being very slow to heal but the Dr. says that is not unusual for his age. We go back next Wed to the Dr. to check it out again. Dad & I had a nice meal at Longhorn last week. It seems to be getting more and more popular, I can tell by the waiting time to be seated.
Did you have a day off on Monday? Of course it was MLK day and we should celebrate his life and what he did for all people. Of course it meant a day off for some while others like me...we had the day off anyway.

On Tuesday I took Bill to the VA in Orlando. His ear is healing nicely but the surgeon notice a few more spots that should be look into. His regular dermatologist took biopsies of three places and it was sent away. We will have to wait and see on those.

After that we went to the Fl Lottery office. It was so funny, I was complaining to Bill how short I was going to be on funds this month (I am sure you know the feeling) Medicare due, car insurance etc. I bought a scratch off and won enough to pay them! Was pretty excited about that. But I have decided if I am lucky enough to win again I am going early. Evidently, there are lots of winners in Fl. First you get a number and fill out papers, then you wait for them to call your number. Then when they get to it they call your name. I was in there over two hours, not that I am complaining I just couldn't help but wonder how much everyone else had won!

On Wed, off to Dad's I went, Sometimes it is difficult to find stuff to talk about, but he does love to talk about the past, dogs and horses. Lana went grocery shopping for him and he got his bath. Lana always wants for her or someone to be there with him when he takes his bath.

On Thursday both Cocoa and I got beautified. Her in the morning and me in the afternoon. In between that I feed Sally and worked in my rose garden. Speaking of my rose garden it is doing great, will try to get a picture next week with them in bloom. Cut most of them and took them to Nancy at her shop she just loves them and so does her customers.

Friday morning was a mixed bag, if you know what I mean. I went out to work at  press site. They moved Atlantis into the Vehicle Assembly building (VAB) That beautiful ship has been stripped down, they are getting them all ready to be taken to their final destination. Although it is always a thrill to see them, it made me realize even more that this part of our adventure in Space is over. During the conversation it was pointed out to me that the place in CA that is getting one of our ships that some places on the route there are only inches for the shuttle to clear. Never thought about that but it should be a night mare getting them to their new home. Not to mention the traffic tie up that will happen then also.

Last night the Vestry had a dinner at a place I had never eaten before.  There were quite a few people there, just about everyone was with their spouse.   It was a way for the new vestry to get to know each other.  It was very nice I really enjoyed myself. The only problem I had was tonight it will be Olive Garden and this was an Italian restaurant also.

Yesterday I also got a new bale of hay for Sally.  It can be very messy, but I have been able to contain it.  She really looks forward to my visit.

Also Eloise took her first long plane ride from Boston to Phoenix, wonder how that turned out.

Well next week looks like it will be fairly busy, an hopefully I will have some pictures to include.

Hope you have a great week, an remember no one loves you like you do!

Lot's of Love,
a, aa ~g~
