"Have great hopes and dare to go all out for them. Have great dreams and dare to live them. Have tremendous expectations and believe in them."

~ Norman Vincent Peale

Good morning all, I am sure this is a busy time for you and hope all goes smoothly for this holiday season. The weather here has been quite nice a great time to come and visit Florida I am telling you...in the high 70's to low 80"s.

Last Saturday Dad and I had dinner at Longhorn's, we are sitting quite a record we have had a coupon for the last three weeks. Dad gets a big kick out of that, as most of you know Dad is quite frugal!

Nancy worked until Wed, this week. It was quite hard on her, she was in pain but she had to do it because of the time that she is off. She had her second surgery on Thursday. This one didn't take quite so long. She is in pain again but struggling with it. She hates to take the pain pills. But all and all we can be quite thankful this Christmas for someone without insurance and no money they still did what needed to be done! She is still quite sore, but is doing fine.

On Monday I pretty much had the day off to rest up for all the rushing I had to do for the rest of the week!

Life got pretty hectic when we discovered Nancy was going to have her surgery on Thursday, because Bill also was scheduled to go to the VA in Orlando for a check up on his ear. Thankfully I reached the nurse in Orlando and she reschedule her for Wed. So, I was off to Dad's on Tuesday. He said when I came in the door, "What day is this?" I said Tuesday. He said you are trying to mix up my days you are suppose to come until tomorrow. It is funny I have been getting us a sub of and on and there is a new place I like to go to. But Dad said, it is a good sandwich's, and it might be made by Italians but it isn't and Italian sandwich. So back to the other place I went, Mom used to get the sub's there but he said they weren't the same...but I guess the are closer to what he wants.

On Tuesday Helen arrived safely in TX to visit Lisa & Charlie. I guess it was time for her to leave Albuquerque, NM cause they were getting lots of snow and she has none in Maine.

On Wednesday off to Orlando we went...the good news is the Dr. says the ear is healing fine and he was quite pleased with his work!

Also on Wednesday Eloise took her first long car trip to visit her grandparents in NJ.
Thursday, of course was Nancy's surgery. It was over and we were home by 12:30. I wanted to stay with her awhile, but she said she was fine, she was going to bed!

So after a rest (I was up at 4:30 am) I decided to tackle the Christmas tree. My cleaning lady put it together for me but didn't hook it up. So the first hour was trying to find all the hook-ups. Anyway it is done, I keep telling everyone the one of these years I will not have a tree. It is just to much for me, usually my grandchildren come and put it up and decorate it but this year their mind is with their Dad.

Got my bread all made, no pies still have a busy day today. Got to go get Hay for Sally and then off to Dad's.

We have gotten some beautiful Christmas cards and I thank you for them. I did not send out cards but you are all in my heart and mind. The world is a better place because you are in it. Someone sent me the card below and I am passing it on to you.

I have a list of people I know, all logged in my computer, And now at Christmas time I have gone to take a look.

And that is when I realize that these names are a part, Not of the computer they're stored in, but of my heart. For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime, And in that meeting they've become the rhythm in each rhyme. And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim, I feel that I'm composed of each remembered name.

And whether I have known you for many years or few, In some way you have been a part of shaping things I do. And now that Christmas has come, I realize anew, The best gift life can offer is having friends/Family like you.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy Happy New Year!!

Please remember no one loves you like you do, take good care of yourself.

Lot's of Love,
a, aa ~g~
