Good morning all hope that you have had a wonderful week. Got to say mine was pretty hectic and that I am beat.
Dad and I had dinner on Saturday at Longhorn, they had a special on Lobster tails 2 for $19. No way he would love to have them but it was too much money. But he enjoyed his steak.
On Sunday I am happy to say I was elected to the Vestry at our church. It has been several years since I have served and I figured it was time to get my mind on something else.
On Monday, I took Bill to the VA in Viera. There were a couple of things that caused the Dr. concern, BUT his regular Dr has been deployed and his replacement was a women, not only that she was an Egyptian lady. I could tell when we went in he was not a happy camper! His pulse was low and she wants him to keep a record and come back in a month. He didn't tell her but he told me she didn't know what she was talking about when his Dr gets back and he says it he will do it....So much for that!
Tuesday morning I got my shot in the eye. You know it really isn't that bad but you do build up some stress waiting to get it. The Dr. says my eyes are holding their own and I am happy for that. But believe me you don't get one of those shots and go shopping. That is it for you for the day!
The good news for that day was Joyce arrived safely after flying the east coast for about eight hours or more so she could fly into Melbourne.
I just know that you are all wondering how Eloise is doing and I just happen to have some pictures to show you...
She is some kind of sweetheart! She will be talking soon and telling us all kinds of stories.
On Wednesday we were up at the crack of dawn to get Bill to Orlando to see the Dr at the VA. The good news is the Dr. said the skin graft has taken about 90%. The bad news is when he was taking the stitches out it hurt Bill so bad that he had to stop. So back we go next Thursday to take the remaining stitches out.
Got home and his the trail to visit Dad. You know that Lobster he has been craving, it arrived while I was there. He was so excited Joyce had two (I would guess 3 lb) lobster flown in from Portland. He has finally got his fill of lobster for a while.
This was also the day for sisters Helen and Lana/Shari to fly out. Helen to NM, she was supposed to be there at 4:30 our time. I think she got the same plane that Joyce got because she didn't get there until 10:30 at night....Thank goodness Lana & Shari flight went well.
Want to share some of these beautiful pictures of an Eagle that David sent me. Aren't they something? I have seen them at the Space Center they have a huge nest up there and come back every year but these are great! Thanks again David
You can tell they are not as warm as they would be at KSC.
Thursday morning early...almost before the crack of dawn :) I was up getting ready to take Nancy to the hospital. She had to be there at 6. I guess to get to know her better because they didn't take her until 9:15. They put the wires in so the Dr. would know just where the positive lump was. Then we waited until about 12:25 before they took her for surgery. The wonderful news is there was no cancer in her lymph nodes! As far as the lumpectomy the Dr. said we wouldn't know until Pathology checks it again next week. But so far it is looking good. Thanks so much for your prayers. I have tried just about every source that that has cancer in its name to get financial help for her and now we are waiting on Medicad to see if they will help. She is in pain but she says it is tolerable, but plans to go back to work as soon as she can, because not only doesn't she have health insurance, she doesn't get paid if she doesn't work. The place she works for is selling the pink brackets in hopes to help her out that way, I also have a bag of them. Hope they do better than I am because I only have a promise to buy 10. But I am trying to keep and upbeat thought, I just know it will work out.
Yesterday was a good day! I purchased a bale of hay for Sally. Didn't get it until late so I am not sure how her reaction will be. She has been a delight to me, she watches for me and talks to be on my way over there and when I am there. It takes so little to lighten up my day!
Right now next week looks like I may have a couple of days that I don't have to go anywhere or do anything. Thank the good Lord but that to can change.
Please take good care of yourself and remember no one loves you like you do!
Lot's of Love,
