"You can't depend on your judgement, when your imagination is out of focus." Mark Twain
Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week. Mine has not been exciting but I will ramble on in hopes to fill this page.
The weather here has been kinda mixed...beautiful days then cloudy. On Thursday the weather cooled down for us, believe it or not it was 62 and on Friday morning it was 58. I just know the heat will go on soon. Now Bill can really wear those flannel shirts and his jacket. But I love it, but I am sure it won't last long.
Have not finished with my closet in my computer room but got a good part of it has been done. Hope the church can make some money off the two big boxes I have for them. It was one of the hardest jobs that I have taken on for a long time, but I had to just keep remembering my children will not understand why I kept this and with that throw it out. But believe me I kept more of it than I should.
Don't want to forget the birthday's this week. Liz & Rik oldest son will celebrate on the 23rd, He will be 19! Happy Birthday Alex! Then on the 26th sweet Melissa will celebrate her birthday, not sure which one but it will be a great day for her I am sure. This one is hard for me, can't believe that Todd will be 22 on the 28th. The best of birthday's to you all!!! Love ya!
Last Saturday, Dad and I had dinner, at Applebee's. It was his suggestion so we could have a change, and thankfully he enjoyed it...I am sure we will be back to Olive Garden this week.
On Monday, it was time for the 2nd shot in the eye for the Macular Degeneration, my appointment was at 9 a.m. Got to say the first one was not bad, because I was not expecting it but this one I knew what was coming so I was a little concerned about it. Got there at 8:45 only to find that the Dr. was in emergency surgery and I would have to come back the next day. Just what I needed. All went well, in fact both eyes showed improvement. But something was not the same at the first one. My eye bothered me for most of the day and it really didn't clear up enough for me to see until about 4. Have to asked him next time what was the difference. But again I can't complain as long as it isn't getting worse. So that took care of Monday & Tuesday.
Took Cocoa to the groomer on Wednesday, just have to remember to wrap a towel or something around my arm because of her claws she had me bleeding. Off to Dad's where we talked about old times and how our home town has changed over the years.
Lana took him to the Heart Dr. late Wed., afternoon to see if he would agree for Dad to have the surgery on his leg. Haven't talked to Lana but Dad said the Dr. left it up to him and he was going to have the surgery. His thinking was he wouldn't have any pain and if it worked great if not his time had come...we will see what really happens.
Now it is time for the whining part...remember that tree that I told you was leaning? I staked it up and it was doing great until the wind shifted and now it is leaning another way and you would never know I had staked it. Bill told me three days ago he had another stake I could use but I haven't seen it yet, mean time I just hope I don't lose that tree! Then the speakers from my computer fell and somehow became unplugged. Now either I plugged them in the wrong place or the speakers are gone...who knows? Enough of that...
I just know you want to see how Eloise is doing.....no well you are going to see anyway...she sure is a beautiful, healthy baby!
I forgot to mention last week that Nancy went down to Dad's and took her dog Larry. She spent the night with him. Dad was very impressed with her dog, and if you don't believe me asked him, he had never seen a dog like that. He will go and get his lead and bring it to you, you hook him up and he will gather the lead in his mouth and hold it until you are ready to go.
William mowed Dad's lawn this week, that is great for Dad! Plus Dad loves to watch him do it. He is a good worker and goes right along...Dad use to be able to do that but now he can't and he enjoys watching William do it! Thanks William!
Well Joyce & Jeff are at a church convention this weekend...I will have that coming up on the 19th of Nov. We will elect a new Bishop. Just thought that I would share this picture of Joyce and her new Halloween/fall hat...don't think she will wear it in session...
Thanks Liz for the picture...waiting for a great picture of Ian in his uniform....
Yesterday we did Baxley, there is not the amount of people that use to attend. Not sure if it the fact they have to take the bus or what. But their cupboard is full again for another month. Jan & Lori do a wonderful job of finding sales so the money goes a lot farther than if I was doing it. They are the greatest!
One more picture...my brother-in-law David sent me this yesterday, I am sure he took the picture...wouldn't it be wonderful to be so close to something that beautiful!
I guess that is it for another week, hope all goes well for you and remember no one loves you like you do!
Lot's of Love,
