“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within the heart.” Helen Keller
Good morning all, hope Irene didn't do much damage to you and yours. I know that a lot of people were without electric, and everyone was encouraged to text rather than call. I would have been in big trouble if that was the case I refuse to text! I even had it taken of my cell phone. I feel if you want to call me, fine...but call me not text me.

We had some rain from Irene but not much damage, but on Sat., when I went to Dad's I hear they had quite a storm here, someone said 65 mile an hour winds and I believed it when I came home there were branches all over the road. Come daylight I could see my front yard was loaded with broken branches. Got them all picked up on Monday, don't know which I hated most, picking them up or the mosquito's .

After that great chore I was off to meet Karen for lunch. Tried a new place the Barking Gecko or something like that. Ran into old friends there also. Lunch was great and we certainly will try that again.

On Tuesday I returned the stuff to the florist, I had hope you would get a refund on them, but not the case. Dan had lots of "T" shirts and Krista & Stacey would like to have a quilt made out of them. A friend referenced someone but she doesn't do that kind of quilt. So off to the "Quilting Place" I went. I tell you one thing there is a lot of people making quilts....the place was packed but very few I guess that does "T" shirt quilts but someone was recommended, she called and sent me pictures of what she does. Waiting for another call from a lady that used to work with Lana...that way we will get a better idea of just how much it will cost and how they want it laid out. Little concerned tho she was supposed to call me two days ago and hasn't.

Duck tape maybe good for this....
but I found that it does not (on me anyway) remove a planter wart from the bottom of my food. Don't care what the Internet said or my nail tech says, It didn't even loosen it. So I guess I will have to go the conventional way or live with it.

Good news about Lana, she took her test for nursing and passed. She has two more to go and then the grand final and she will be a full fledge nurse. We are all so proud of her.

Took Bill to the VA on Wed, for his eye and all is fine again. But the bad news is they canceled his ear surgery! They have fiddle around now for six months, the Dr. in Orlando sent him to the local VA so he wouldn't have to travel so far and they have just fooled around. The ear drains, must put a towel over his pillow, can't understand what they are doing. Cancer is cancer and should be taken care of. Monday I am calling the Dr. in Orlando and see if we can't get this taken care of.

Nancy and Steve got a new dog, they lost theirs in the spring. They now have adopted a rescue dog names Larry aka "love bug".

He is a really nice dog, I think they will be very happy with him.

Want to wish a belated birthday to Mark's son David and to Blair wife Gert. Yesterday was their birthday, hope it was a great day for both.! Happy Anniversary to Joyce & Jeff on the 5th, 47 years...that is a long time the best to both of you! Then on the 8th sister-in-law Sue will celebrates her birthday. The best of Birthday to you Sue!

On Thursday, Bet and I met for lunch, the only way I can get my Mexican fix for the next several months or so.  The food was great and so was Bet!

Well I guess that is about it for this week, let me hear from you want to know what is going on with you and yours! In the mean time remembers take good care of yourself, cause no one loves you like you do!
Lots of Love
