" I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it." Maya Angelou Poet

Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week! The weather here has been quite warm and we have had some much needed rain. Have got some work done in the yard, it is always a chore to keep ahead of the weeds. Have this beautiful yellow rose bush that is about 6 or 7 years old. It is always in bloom but have notice in the last month the blooms are much smaller and have brown spots on the petals. I have been meaning to take one of them by Rockledge Gardens and find out what was going on. This week I did....some people get other normal bugs, black spot etc....I get chili thrips! Never heard of this before but looking it up on goggle I find that they are new to area, prefer roses but aren't at all fussy about what plant they infect. The stuff they suggest that I get is called Systemic Insect Drench! It cost $13 a bottle and it takes a half of the bottle for one rose. Looks like I have a real battle on my hands, cause I have 14 rose bushes!

Last Saturday Judy and I took Dad to Shell's, trying for a change besides Longhorn and Olive Garden. As always I hope he likes it, but of course he pleased with his meal.

He is now wearing his "lifeline", not happy about it and I bet you when Judy leave he won't wear it. Accidentally it has called Lana twice. Judy has left him a couple of times while she has run to the store and he has made out fine. He wants to be independent but on his terms! Judy & Greg will be leaving on the 19th for home. It is a good thing Dancing with the Stars starts that night, it should take his mind of the fact that he is alone. It is going to be scary for him and us when that happens.

Want to wish a very happy birthday to Casey Forbes and Megan Adams on the 16th. Hope it is the best one yet!

Nancy went down for a visit with Dad on Monday, she brought Larry with her. It was time for Dad to get his monthly hair cut. Lilly & Larry made out just fine and Dad loves both dogs.

Good news they have scheduled Bill's cancer ear surgery for Tuesday. I would like to thing that my call did some good on this one.  At least that is what Bill heard, just wish they would call when I was home, Bill has a little trouble hearing just what they say.

Diana is struggling along but keeping her head up. She is having a hard time going thru this, wish I could remove some of the hurt that she has to go thru but I have always heard "God doesn't give you more than you can handle" I know it is hard but we make it thru. I remember it well how hard it was! She and Krista went to Tampa to see Blake Shelton last night, I hope it takes her mind off everything for a while and she has a great time.

Joyce & Jeff are in Waterville for the annual Firemen convention. It will be great for Helen, maybe they can do lunch one day this weekend.

Speaking of Helen she is going to have her knee surgery on the 19th. I still can't get over it, she told her Dr. that she lived alone and he saw no problem with that, she will make out fine. I sure hope he knows what he is talking about!

Nephew Rand has done a great job on his diet.  For exercise he runs every morning.  This morning he is running in his first 5K run.  Proud of him, know he will do well!

Friend Bet & husband Don is off to Oklahoma next week. Bet's Mom will be celebrating her 97th birthday. Hope you have a wonderful, safe trip. I will surly miss you.

Well I guess that is it for this morning, sorry I am a little late with this had some computer problems.  Let me hear from you!  Hope you have a great week and remember no one loves you like you do!

Lots of Love
a (aa) ~g~
