"There is no need to go to India or anywhere else to find peace. You will find that deep place of silence right in your room, your garden or even your bathtub. "- Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week. Mine has been a busy one to say the least. Did get some work done in the yard, but have to be out there early because by 9:30-10 it is too hot for me.
On Saturday, I went down to Dad's, he is doing very well. Joyce has tried to make him somewhat independent and it is working. The big problem is he is use to one of us being there and does not want that to change. We have pushed the life line for him and he is balking....don't need it, one of us will always be there with him. Anyway off to Olive Garden we went and as always he always enjoys his meal.
Sunday church and worked in the yard...peaceful day.
On Monday I met my friend Karen for lunch. She is still in her back brace and looking forward to getting out of it. As hot as it has been the brace is very uncomfortable. But all and all she is doing very well.
Tuesday was a busy day, took Bill to the VA to have minor surgery on his back and face. Hopefully they got it all but it really bothered him, more than others have.
Tuesday evening I went to pick up Dan & Diana at the airport. First time ever for me the plane was early...not 10 minutes but half hour felt bad that they had to wait for me to get there. But the good news is if they would have been on time my timing would have been perfect. Dan is so glad to be home, just like a man got out of the car and checked out his car....now it has a cover on it wonder what he saw.
On Wednesday, I dropped Cocoa off at the groomer and off to Melbourne I went. Joyce had trimmed more limbs off of the tree's and Dad kept finding more for her to trim. It is funny in the beginning he thought it was too much for her to do but once she got started he found more to cut. I had promised Dad that we would go to the Harbor City Dinner for lunch. He is feeling so good you have to tell him to wait for you so you can help him. We had a nice lunch and back to get Cocoa and home. That was a day on the run.
Thursday morning I was up at 2:30, first to wake up then off to work landing. There was quite a crowd there I had not seen that many people there since return to flight. The landing was awesome, the mood was mixed. Happy to have a great landing but on Friday about 1500 people lost their jobs.
On Friday, I was off to Melbourne again. Met Joyce where she turned her rental car in, then back to Merritt Island to get beautiful. One thing I learned there (have you ever heard of this?) I have a planter's wart on the bottom of my right foot. Have had it for years, I was told to put a piece of duck tape on it and leave it for about 2 weeks and it would come right out. Never heard of that have you?
Anyway after that we stopped at BJ's, then had lunch. Then we headed for Sanford were Joyce caught her plane this morning. We stayed in a very nice Marriott and was up at 4 this morning. Her plane left at 6:30. It has been wonderful having her, even if she really didn't get to go anywhere. Felt bad about that, but we will plan better next time. Thanks so much for coming Joyce! We love you.
Sister Helen will arrive in Orlando on Tuesday and we will start the next round with Dad.
Next Sunday Dad will be 94, if you would like to send him a card his address is Robert Willett, 1844 Washington Ave., Melbourne, Fl 32935. He e-mail address is rpwillett@bellsouth.net
Pat has asked Bet & I to attend one of the many Disney concerts on the 5th of August. I am really looking forward to it.
Had a great note from friend Kari, it had been a long time since I had heard from. Gosh her children are growing up fast....but I guess then seem to do that.
Well I guess that is it for this week, hope you have a great week! Please take good care of yourself and remember no one loves you as much as you do!
Lots of Love
