Quote of the week: I never think of the future - it comes soon enough. - Albert Einstein
Brother in law David sent this picture of an otter....looks like the otter is saying what are you doing here?...

Good morning everyone, hope that you have had a great week. Got to say that we can't complain about the rain, which we are getting everyday, and I am sure we need more. I understand there is a ban in many places in Florida on fireworks, because it is so dry.
Dad was doing great but somehow he got bronchitis, he just can't understand that he has never had a cold since he came to Fl. (not so but that is what he thinks) He is on medication and it was suggested that he may have pick it up at Rehab! He has all kinds of people coming to visit him, the physical therapist, the occupational therapist, the nurse, and Health First also sent out their Dr. The phys therapist has been there twice to work with him and us have asked the occupational therapist to help him to make his meals, etc. It has been a busy week, I have trouble hearing people that talk softly but I guarantee I don't have a problem hearing my Dad's TV! He has ears, but he prefers not to use them! So as soon as I can once I get there I get the remote!
Again I want to thank everyone for sending Dan a card, he has his bad days and good ones, they are especially good on the day that he gets a card. Stacey went out there yesterday, I am sure it will not be easy for either one of them. Diana goes out next Sat.
I had to laugh the other night I was able to get together with my old friends from NASA. One of the ladies said you know when you get old and you get together with your friends you are usually talking about YOUR pains, etc. But here we are talking about our parents. Got to tell you this, hope she doesn't get upset with me. My friend Lori's Dad is 102, he has the onset of Alzheimer but is living in assisted living. He keeps telling her that someone is coming in at night and drinking all his coffee and messing with his remote control. So the other night when they went out to dinner he asked a lady to sleep with him so he could prove to Lori he was right. The lady was very nice about it and she thought he was kidding...but there you go 102...
I am sure that many of you have heard about the Casey Anthony trail that is going on here in Fl. That is all you can get on TV in the day time and just in case you missed it, they have specials at night to catch you up on what you missed. A child was murdered and it is pretty positive that her 25 year old Mom did it...but you would get that right away if you just started to watch it!
I have never seen anyone so fussy about food than Dad. Don't know how he makes out eating frozen dinners there are so many things he does not like. Always had nightmare about feeding him and they have come true. There are so many things that he does not like, and he won't try things that sound like he might not like....the last couple of days I have given him soup, and thank God he will eat that, but not just any soup...veg. or veg beef. Don't know how Lana made out with the evening meals because it is really a chore and he needs to eat to get back his strength. Nancy stay with him on Monday and fixed steak, now you can't go wrong with steak, but you can't give it to him every night.
Joyce arrives today, we are all looking forward to her visit. She must be worn out also, the house session just ended I think on Wed.
Next week is the final shuttle launch, sad time but it certainly will be a busy time. They are expecting the biggest crowd ever.
Please have a great week, and remember take good care of yourself, cause no one loves you like you do.
Lots of Love
