June 25, 2011

Quote for the week:  Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.  (Mother Teresa, Albanian nun, 1979 Nobel Peace Prize, 1910-1997)

Good morning world, how you sleep last night?  (Sounds like a song doesn't it)  Tell you the truth I sleep very well, and did not want to get up this morning but you got to do what you got to do!

We got some much needed rain last night but it certainly wasn't enough!  I came home the other night and several of my flowers were wilting.  I have tried to water them when I can but I guess I am falling behind on that!

I haven't heard from Patrick in a while, but I know how busy he is with his new choral group that he is in.  He really is quite busy.

The new baby is home at the Forbe's and Judy is there to help.  Her name is Eloise
Mother and baby are doing fine, and oh by the way so is Grandmother!  Not sure when Grandmom is heading home, but she sure is enjoying Eloise!

Dan is getting his 2nd Chemo treatment, it is very rough.  Again I want to thank everyone that has sent him a card, it really brighten up his day.  Just in case you have lost his address it is  Dan Spell, 7330 South Highland Dr.Salt Lake City, Utah, 84121.  His sister Debbie is with him now and daughter Stacey will be going out on the 2nd.  This is certainly hard on all of them!

Want to wish Casey & Jess a very happy 6th anniversary!  Happy Birthday to Kyle on the 29th, the best of birthdays!  Then on the 30th Miss Charlie, celebrate' her fourth Birthday,  Judy also celebrates on the same day but she is a few years older than 4 ,  It is a very special day for her also, gosh I can't believe I have a sister that old!  Have the best of birthday's Judy!!!  Love ya!

Have not heard from Karen this week, but she is still in a full body brace and is tolerating the pain.  The best distraction for her is that she goes out to see her horse Bo just about everyday.  Slow process, but I know she will come out shining!

Found out this week the reason Meal's on Wheels left Baxley is because it is too dirty.  They have asked the people in charge for the last six years to clean it up and they have not.  So they had to move or they would lose their funding.  Where they are they can only feed people that are over 60, the sad thing is the people at Baxley that are mentally handicapped, will not be served.  Got to do something about this, but it is having the time that I am short on!

Well today is the big day for Dad, I asked him what time he wanted me to come to get him and he said 6 am  He is doing very well, but of course still has his idea of how to do things!  Talked to the therapist and he said they don't make them like him anymore.  He felt if he had stayed one more week he would have been walking on his own.  But Dad said enough is enough I want to go home!  It really wears me out going down there everyday, but Lana is the one I am worried about.  She works those 12 hour shifts at the hospital and I know she is not getting her rest.  She is out getting things that Dad needs at the house.  Yesterday, they put in a new shower head, took the shower doors down, etc.  She also got a new chair for Dad, he is not supposed to be sitting in  a low chair...she got it Dad paid for it.  Which reminds me Dad said in the beginning don't know what this happen to me, I know I will never be right again.  We assured him that he would!  But recently he said I don't know why this happen to me, I now have to do things I don't want to do, like buy a new chair  He has really enjoyed his card's, want to thank you all again for doing that.   Now we start a new adventure!  Really looking forward to next Sat, Joyce arrives, we are always excited when one of the sister comes but this time doubly so!

Well I guess that is it for this week, let me  hear from you!  Please take good care of yourself, because no one loves you like you do!
