Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.  (Victor Hugo, French author, 1802-1885)

Good Morning all!  Hope that you have had a great week!  The weather here has been quite warm, with no rain!  For those of you that are getting the rain, you could send some to us we surly need it!

Bill use to have a relative that whenever we heard from her, he would say I wonder who died now, because her letters were always gloom & doom and to some extent my note today is that way....so bare with me.

At the beginning of the week it did not look good for Dan, he was having a hard time holding his own.  He was an out patient up until Monday but he was not doing well at all and they had to admit him to the hospital at the University of Utah.  He wasn't eating, he was running a temp and he had lost more weight.   I want to thank everyone that sent him a note, he really appreciated it.   He was supposed to come home next week for two weeks and then go back to resume treatment but after this week that was canceled he is not going to be able to come home, and we don't know just how longs he will be out there.  His sister, and her husband is going out on Monday to stay with him for two weeks and Diana is coming home on Tuesday.  But the good news is the Dr. told Diana he is starting to respond to the treatment!   We certainly are not home free, but we are heading in the right direction!  Thank God for all your prayers I know they are working!

I think I learned a long time ago, if you have to go to the hospital you need to have someone go with you.  Hospitals don't take care of you like they used to do.  My friend Karen had quite a rough time when she had her surgery and thank God her husband was with her to make sure she got the proper treatment.  She is home, can't say she is doing great but she is on her way to healing and with her determinations, I know she will be at least 99% again.  Thanks for your kind thoughts for her.

Judy is waiting on pins and needles...Jess has not had her baby as yet.  Tomorrow is her due date, so hopefully soon we will have a new life in the family!  Here are the grand mom's to be with Jess...(First grand child for both)

Now for Dad, On Tuesday evening he finished his dinner and got up to put his pate in the dishwasher, when he fell.  He hit his head on the cupboard but did not knock himself out.  We have been trying to convince him for a long time he needed to get that alert thing but no, that cost money and he knows how to fall he wouldn't break anything.  He dragged himself from the kitchen to the living room where the phone was and called Lana.  To make a long story short...he broke his hip!  Because of his coumidin level they had to wait a day before surgery.  Dad has a very high pain level (to give you and idea of that in his eighties he was circumcised with nothing for pain!  So he certainly will not be come a drug addict!    His surgery was suppose to be on Thursday afternoon at 2:30.   Here is where you need someone there, they gave him breakfast on Thursday so the surgery had to be canceled!  They did the surgery yesterday and he came thru it fine, he is a little disoriented but I think he will do fine.   Lana, Shari and I have been there for him for the most part and will continue to be.  He is suppose to go to rehab next week and Lana is researching it.   Please keep him in your prayers at his age it could go either way.

I guess that is it for this week, please take good care of yourself, because as you know no one loves you like you do!

Lots of Love
