June 11, 2011

I saw this on a file cabinet and I thought it would be a good quote to share:

"Don't let your worries get the best of you, Remember Moses started out as a basket case!"

Good Morning all, hope that you have had a great week!  How is the weather where you are?  I will tell  you it has been quite warm here and no rain.  Because of that we are on water restrictions so I can only water certain days of the week.  The yard work is piling up again and of course the weeds are doing great!

First the news about Dad....Lana & Shari have been going on overtime, between staying with Dad and running for things he needs.  For instance his chair at home that he dearly loves has got to go...he can't have a rocker so they are working on getting him a lift chair.  He was moved to rehab on Tuesday.  He has therpy about three hours a day.  Once in the morning and then again in the afternoon.  He is not happy where he is and he is determined to get out of there as soon as he can.  So if they want him to do a certain thing for so long he will do it longer.  I knew if he made up his mind he would do well.  The Orthopedic Dr. told him in the hospital he would see him walking into his office in two weeks, and I not sure if it will be two weeks, but it will be close.  If you would like to send him a card, his address is Life Care Center of Melbourne, 605 East Sheridan Rd. Melbourne, Fl 32901.  I also have been going everyday to stay with him, took yesterday off, cause I am worn out but think he is getting really spoiled but I also know that us being there takes away some of his fears.

Diana came home from Salt Lake City on Tuesday/Wednesday morning.  Her flight came in at 11:30 and I guess her baggage beat her there but she didn't know it.  She spent over an hour looking for it when it was there all along.  Made it a long night but thank goodness she is home for awhile.  Dan so wanted to come home also but it just wasn't possible.  It is like he does very well one day and takes two steps backwards the next.  His sister Peggy is with him now for 10 days, then his other sister Deb will go  and stay with him for awhile.  Thanks so much for your kinds thoughts and prayers.

Forgot to mention last week that sister Joyce would be celebrating her birthday this week, actually it was yesterday!  Hope it was a good one, but with her new job (State Rep Maker) is very busy.  She tells me that they should finish up their session this week on Sat.  But, it will most likely be in the middle of the night!

Next Sat. (great) nephew Alex will graduate from high school!  We are all so proud of him  Wish that I could be there but for some reason I am very busy!  Congratulations Alex!  Got such a kick out of Liz posting on Facebook that when Alex was about 3 or so when asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said a gas station attendant...she said he has gotten his wish he starts work on Monday  Of course he is college bound in the fall!

A very happy birthday today to Jodi Boyd, who will celebrate her 23rd!  The best  of birthday's to you Jodi!  Then next Sat. Stacey will celebrate her 28th birthday that is so hard to believe....Love you Stacey have the best of days.

Thank you every one for your notes about Dad, he has been very pleased that everyone is so concerned about him.  Grandson's Kyle & Rand both called him and that made his day.  Grandson Peter spent a couple of nights with him, Nancy has been down twice.  You will never know how much that means to him.

Well I guess that is about it for this week, please take good care of yourself, remember no one loves you as much as you do!

Lots of Love
a (aa) ~
