Quote of the week "Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it,
whoever you are, you need one".  ~Jane Howard (born 26 March 1923, London) is an English novelist

Good morning all...what a hectic last couple of weeks it has been, but thankfully I am feeling better...still worn out but feeling a lot better!
Had a great trip to NJ, spent a day with sister Judy who was busy doing all kinds of things for Jess's shower.  She had purchased small clay pots and painted them all, and decorated them.  They looked so nice, almost killed her hands making pom-poms for it only to learn she made to many.  Really liked the pots thou has me wondering if I did that for the church fair, if the plants would sell better?

Didn't she do a great job!
On Friday, off we went to NH to see niece Liz & her family.  Judy went on to Dover to finish up plans for the shower the next day.  It is always a treat to go to Liz's but it was extra special because sister Joyce & husband Jeff was there.  Great food as always and truly enjoyed the visit!
On Sat, Joyce Liz and I headed off to Dover, NH for the baby shower.  Jess & Cassey got a lot of wonderful gifts.   The food was out of this world and the people were wonderful!  Here is Judy helping them with their "stuff"

That night, Helen, Judy & and I shared a suite at the Hilton Garden's, it was nice but....(you know the main thing is food by looking at me) we ate at Margarita's  across from the hotel.    I love Mexican and the food was great!
The next morning Helen headed for Maine and Judy and I were on our way back to NJ.   It was a whirlwind trip all in all.
Back in NJ we got the news that Aunt Ruby had passed, I am sure she was ready to end her suffering and be in heaven with those who went before her.  All my family truly loved her and she certainly will be missed.  Her funeral was on Friday.
I arrived back in Florida Wednesday morning at 1:30 am and Helen was at the airport waiting for me.  She had arrived from Maine about an hour before.  Believe me we were both dragging.  I still was not over my bronchitis so I was lucky to get to get into the Dr.  He gave me a miracle drug that carried me thru the wedding, I am so thankful for that!  Also that day we (Helen & I) visited Dad....busy life for this "old girl"!
About this time we learned that Wes, oldest grandchild of Helen had passed his barber exam with flying colors!  Congratulations Wes, we are all very proud of you!
On a sad note, my son-in-law Dan has been in remission from Multiple Myeloma for several years and we are so thankful for that, but we learned this week that it is back, and with a vengeance, he is in a lot of pain and with the all strength that God could give him (Stacey did not know) he gave his best for his daughter at the wedding.  Please pray for him and the family...they are waiting for him to be told when he can go to Utah for treatments.
On Thursday, Helen and I headed for Orange Park where the wedding was held in an old mansion on the river.  It was beautiful...but on Thursday during the rehearsal the navy was practicing with their helicopters on the river...which really had some people concerned that they would be doing it during the wedding but not the case!
The rehearsal dinner (of course food) was held at an Italian restaurant and you talk about food, it just kept coming and it was so good!
Usually after a wedding I have thousands of pictures to pick from put this time it is not the case.  Of course my Stacey was a beautiful bride, and Paul was very handsome!  I know more pictures  are coming and as they do I will share but here are a few that sister Lana took...
 Stacey & Dad
Stacey & Paul...

Sister of the bride...Krista

Diana & Todd

And of course the great Aunts and Grandmother of the bride.....
I would like to thank my wonderful family for being there, it was wonderful!  I have the greatest family in the world!  Love you all!  I truly welcome my new Grandson Paul to the family....it may be hard to get use to us at first but we love you and will stand by you when you need us!
Dad was not happy that both Lana and I were out of town and left him alone, but that was soon over.  Don't know if it was scheduled by anyone but from Sat, until now he has not been alone.  So he is happy!  Here he is with Liz...
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, what a wonderful day it was!
Took Helen on Monday to pick up her car and stopped at Dad's.  The rest of the week I have working at the launch site.  Very busy this time....people want to know who is paying for Gabby's visit...where her plane will land, will she stay in the area now that it has been scrubbed for 72 hours....the answer to all is we don't know!  Very disappointing that we scrubbed but as it has been said we don't launch until it is ready!
Please take good care of yourself and remember, no one loves you like you do!
Lots of Love
a (aa) ~g
