Got to start right off by telling you not much is going on here so it will be a short note this morning. Hope you all have had a great week! It has been in the 80's here until Thursday....then we got lots of rain, when that cleared it got cooler. The temp has been in the 60's yesterday and today it suppose to be the same. Should start to rise tomorrow.
What a week this has been for me, mostly running but it wore me out. Bill got out of the hospital on Saturday, and is doing better but still doen't feel 100%. He has an appointment at the VA on Tuesday morning.
Was unable to go to Dad's last Saturday because of Bill being home. But I am sure he won't miss me coming one Saturday.
Helen rode up with Diana on Sunday and spent the evening with us. Up early on Monday morning her flight left at 7:15. What a long day for her, I believe she arrived home around 5 pm.
Of course the big news is my sister Joyce was elected to the House in Maine representing District 31. We are all very proud of her.
Got to say I was not too happy with the election results but since they think they can do a better job...they will have at least two years to prove it. Of course one of my biggest concerns other than cuts in my retirement is the NASA budget.
Have worked at the Press Site just about everyday this week. Did visit Dad on Tuesday after work. We all make food to take in on launch day and I always take in BBQ meat balls. With all the delays they have been on hold until yesterday morning. I got up at 5 and waited until they had a go for launch. Started my meatballs.....now I guess I will have to freeze them, cause there is no way we could eat that many meatballs.
The launch of Discovery has been postponed after the third attempt. This time it can't be repaired in a few days. Now launch is scheduled for November 30th at 4:05 am. I was schedule to work this weekend and have found replacements for me at church. I keep arguing with myself, maybe I will just skip church this week with the change of time and all and just rest. See which side of me wins
Just a reminder if you can help, Granddaughter Stacey is raising money to Help find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma, so people like her dad can live a longer more comfortable lives. If you can help, please go to this web site....she would really appreciate your help. Thank you. http://pages.lightthenight.org/ncfl/Jacksonv10/SSpell
Got really scared last night, I tried to call Dad for almost an hour, and no response. I finally called Shari to go check on him. It seems Lana clean his ears out and I guess she didn't get all of it, because he could not hear the phone ringing. She called to let me know he was alright but he couldn't talk to me, cause he couldn't hear me. WEW...
Well I guess that is it for this week, Please take good care of yourself an remember no one loves you like you do.
Lots of Love
