Good morning all, hope that you have had a wonderful week. The weather here has been very pleasant with a slight breeze. Love this time of year. It is great weather to work outside in but for some reason I just haven't had time. But I know that is not true in some area's...in fact it was snowing on Thanksgiving Day at Judy's.
Last Saturday, Dad and I had a nice visit. He thinks his hearing is much better, and it is somewhat but it isn't that much better. I try to give him a variety of places that we go to eat, but he is quite fussy so it just can't be any place. It has been quite some time since we had dinner at Applebee's so that is where we went. He always gets steak, and he enjoyed it that is what counts.
I am happy to say on Sunday I learned that the Church made over $6,000 to give to the Sharing Center. I am sure that some of you wonder why we give it away when we can use it badly but this has been our community outreach project for many years and I think just about every member contributes to it in one way or the other.
On Monday evening I had my Local Planning agency meeting in Viera. The meeting lasted about 50 minutes ( a lot longer than my last P&Z meeting) The topic was revising the comp plan so people on the beach can rebuild structures that have public access that are destroyed by the weather.
Tuesday was bread day! I made 10 double loaves of bread like my Mom use to make. 4 large pans of cinnamon rolls, as well as 4 pans of banana nut loaves. It was a long day but the house smelled so good!
On Wednesday I started off the day by going to Dad's, pick up McDonald's and we had lunch together. He was very pleased that Dancing with the Star's turned out like it should have, because if it hadn't he would not be watching it anymore. He really loves that show, and now he will be waiting for it to come on again next year. Glad it worked out for him.
Then back to Publix for the third time this week. I made 5 pumpkin pies, 1 cherry, 1 blueberry, 3 apple and 5 chocolate pies. Believe me I was ready for bed that night but felt great that I was able to accomplish it.
Thanksgiving was a wonderful day, all my children & grandchildren were here. That make it quite perfect, plus Stacey's future in-laws joined us. They seem like very nice people, hope they felt the same about us. What really made the day perfect was David & Pat arrived about 7 and took over the kitchen. Like Dad suggested to me....I became the supervisor and they did all the work. It is a great blessing to me, because I am beginning to notice that I am not in my 50's any more.
We also got some wonderful news on Thanksgiving....Judy & Greg are going to become grandparents in June! Jess & Casey are quite happy about it and so is all the family. Maybe if we are lucky we can see Alex graduate and the baby at the same time. NH isn't that far from Boston!
Was disappointed to hear that the launch of the shuttle has been delayed until the 17th of December (nice for Joyce & Jeff they will be here then) But I am glad that they are not taking any chances, we need a successful launch and everything should be go, no doubts.
Want to wish Ann a very happy birthday. Hope you get to spend a wonderful day doing what you enjoy!
Yesterday I kind of just laid around and recouped from the week. It has been a great week and I am most thankful for my family & friends!
Well I guess that is about it for this week, hope all goes well for you and remember take good care of you, cause no one loves you like you do!
Lots of Love
