October 2, 2010

Good morning all, what a week this has been, hope yours has been a good one.  Did get some time on Monday to work in the yard, got so many palms tree's that need cutting back.  Here I am with my new pole power saw...it certainly does the job.  The problem is, it is a little heavy here I have it on the short version, for some of these tree's I will need to put the extension on and believe me that will take a while to do

As you can see I have my trusty cart with me, carry all my tools on it.

Visited Dad on Saturday, he isn't sure he like's his new TV but he does admit the picture is better.  He seemed kind of down on this visit, remembering the past, misses Mom & Cisco.  We had a nice meal at the Olive Garden, he misses the slide out chairs.  The waitress told him he reminder her of her Dad and asked how old he was.  When he told her 93, she said her Dad was 91 but he still rides his bike everyday.  Dad confess to her he had to give that up.  She made a fuss over him and he really enjoyed that.

Finally heard from cousin Charles, it has been quite some time since I had heard from him.  Hopefully he won't be a stranger in the future.  He said he has retired and is really enjoying it after 50 years on the road.  He shared a picture of him & Dudley with Grammy Adams that I would like to pass on to you....

He just had it made into a portrait.  If you have pictures of the past that you would like to share, send them on we all love those pictures.

Have not heard from Gloria, Carla or Jack in awhile, am wondering how Aunt Ruby, Uncle Omar and Aunt Joyce are.?

Tuesday, I started out with a bang...8:30 Dr. appointment.  He says I am in good health and  everything was fine...he would see me in 6 months.  Like I always asked him if I am doing so fine why do I have to come back in 6 months He always says cause he misses me.  Of course I know why I have to come back.

Had lunch with Karen she is just a smig better, but her back is still causing her pain.

Well my chain saw was a little heavy and when I got up on Wednesday morning I was sore not only from lifting the saw but the fact that I got a flu shot while at the D.rs   " The old gray mare an't what she use to be". But none the less I hit the road running early because I had to meet the bug man at Dad's at 10 but somehow he was there early.  Dad has had those sugar ants for quite some time and we can't seem to get rid of them.  One of the things I plan to do on Sat is to cock around his cabinets and see if that will help.  Hopefully the new stuff the guy put out will take care of them.

We had lots of rain on Tuesday & Wednesday, not complaining because we sure needed it.  It has started to cool down some at night...not much but cooler.  But now we are pretty much back to normal...warm, and Bill has turned the air off because he is comfortable.

Granddaughter Krista is taking classes in Clermont on Sports Medicine.   Since she has been going over there (3 weeks ago) she had a flat tire.  This week she has had three flat tires.  Dan & Todd had to go over and get new tires and put them on.  The place that fixed them said they had been slashed.  The friend that she stays with over there lives in a gated community.   I really hope that they report it to the authorities, because who know what will happen next.

Well I started yesterday off with lots of energy, did lots of cutting that needed to be done.  Sprayed my driveway for weeds, then I did a dumb thing!   I had put my new power saw standing up in the back and never looked to see if it would clear when I back the gold cart into the garage....yep you are right, I bent the saw!  Between Bill and I we worked on it and hopefully it is fixed.  Too hot to go out and try it then...but it does run.   This morning I will try it out.

Happy 22 Anniversary to Liz and Rik, the very best to you!!!

Well I guess I had better bring this to and end...hope to hear from you all soon.  Please take good care of yourself, because no one loves you like you do!!!

Lots of Love
