August 28, 2010

Good morning all, hope that all has gone well for you this week.  Not too much new here, it has been raining off and on all week so no work in the yard.  Plus when I do the mosquitoes' will carry you off.  (good excuse)  The first bit of good news for me started on Sat., after I sent out Just Chatting.  Took my power chain saw down to Nancy's Steve and asked for his help.  I just knew it was something simple to fix it and it was.  He did it one, two three.  Now I know how to do it!  Also asked him about the pole saw and he highly recommended it and said it would work great on those vines.  So when I return I am going to order the "power saw on a pole"!  Thanks to you that did respond to my question but now I am back in business with much thanks to Steve!

On Saturday evening I was invited to a surprise Birthday party for my friend Karen's husband Michael.  It was held at the Black Tulip in downtown Cocoa.  I had not been there for years.  Michael was surely surprised and I got to meet some new people and renew my acquaintance with old friends that I had not seen for sometime.  The food was great, the company was very nice and I had a good time.  Thanks for inviting me Karen.

My Bill is very fugal with his money most of the time, that is why we have what we have.   BUT every once in a while he does something crazy and I must share it with you.  Last month on the on the day I called my coumidin count in I asked him not to answer the phone because he doesn't hear well and both the Dr. office and the company I have my machine with call me back with a message.  Of course he answer the phone while I was gone and all he could tell me was some woman got my e-mail.  So we had words!  He decided he wanted a cell phone and that was all he was going to use, he insisted upon it!  So I got him a prepaid phone from ATT.  But it was a monthly thing, since them I have found they have a year plan where you get 400 minutes for $100.  So now he has 460 minutes and I will bet you that next August when it comes due again he will have at least 450 minutes!   So if you ever feel like calling him (the phone most likely will be in the drawer) his number is 321 720-2740

Since I was not able to go down to Dad's on Sat., I went on Sunday instead.  Judy again is out doing herself in Dad's yard.  At one time the back neighbor had snake plants/Mother-in-Law tongue running all along their fence.  Well they put up a privacy fence and left those plants between the chain link fence and their privacy fence.  So they are now on Dad's side.  She has really been working to get rid of them so far she has three garbage cans full.  Some of them between the fence is so  narrow she has had to work sideways.

On Monday I had lunch with Karen, bless her heart she is in pain all the time with her back and it really looks that the final outcome will be surgery.  But she isn't giving in...a nice miracle here would be nice.

So pleased that the Primary is over here in FL.  Don't know about where you live, but they spend most of their money telling how bad the other person is and not what they are going to do if elected.  I was pleased with some of the people that won and of course not so pleased about others.

Well I am so upset at Air Tan I can not begin to tell you how I feel about them.  Our reservations (Nancy, Diana, Krista, Todd, Lana & Shari) have been taken care of for a month.  Now two weeks before they leave they change the flight and instead of getting in at 12 noon they will be arriving at 5:15.  The rental car places close at 6, and we got the rental car off the air port because they run cheaper.  After all that we will still have a 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive from there!  So far I have not seen anything wonderful happen with Air Tran, the flights might be cheaper (not much because you have to pay for your seat, plus your baggage)  You can believe that next time I will be looking somewhere else.

Be sent me some pictures of her night blooming cactus, isn't it beautiful!

Took Bill to the VA in Orlando on Thursday, and thankfully his ear is healing up fine now that he has taken is med's.

Grandson Todd broke his wrist and will have to wear a brace for two weeks...interesting...  Son-in-law Dan is pleased his sister will be here for the week-end from CA.

I have arranged for someone to take over my job at church while I am gone.  Hope it all works out well.

Something is eating the leaves on my carnalillies as well as my roses.  Have not been able to spray because of the rain.  Got to admit it looks like grasshoppers!

I am really looking forward to getting away for awhile, little things have been piling up here and I need a break!  Judy and I will drive to NJ and I will be there until the 8th.  Then Judy, Greg & I will leave to go to NH for an over night stay with the Michard's.  (Which we always look forward 2)  Then off to Portland where all the fun will begin with rental car's etc

I doubt very much if I will be sending out just chatting while I am gone, so please take good care of you!  Remember no one loves you like you do!

Lots of Love
