Good Morning all, hope this has been an uneventful week for you, unless you were expecting something terrific...if so I hope all went well.
I have been going out each day and cutting palm fronts and vines. It isn't easy to do, because I have to reach over the fence to get them. Can't say I have been breaking my back doing it, it is just too hot but I am slowly moving up the fence. It most likely will take me for ever to do and that is just one side of the property. Todd did come back yesterday and did some of it.

this is the next part

and this is what I have remaining on this job.....

And this is how I haul it out to the road
Want to thank you all for your suggestions on cleaning tea stains out of Dad's white cups. Some of them were Clorox, denture cleaner and baking soda. We will see which one works the best...
Got pictures from David, he was up to northern Maine for a visit. This is Clyde's sister Mary Ann children....gosh the last time I seen them they were little. I am so glad he shared the pictures....

Todd, Janet and Ann. I wish that we could see them, I don't believe they have met my girls.
Dad and I had dinner last week at Applebee's. It had been a while since we had been there. He always enjoys going there.
Lana left for Rochester on Tuesday and so far Dad seems to be doing well. I know she plans to skype with him everyday while she is there. So far he seems to be doing fine on the groceries....He forgot some of the things he gets so Lana told me and I picked them up for him on Wednesday. He loves to complain that he can't drive but he seems to be doing very well.
From what I hear Helen is having a great time in NM but like all good things it has to come to an end and she will return to Maine on the 2nd.
Friend John is doing well after his very difficult surgery they had to add to nuts to his neck and it will be a slow recovery. Please remember him and his family in your prayers. His wife Betty has her hands full with taking care of him as well as her Dad & sister. They are a wonderful family and the good Lord knows that or he wouldn't have given them so much to handle. We need to count our blessings every day!
Stacey moved last weekend and is now living with her future in-laws. But has plans to find a place of her own in Jacksonville once she gets settled in her new job. I hear she is doing well but it is always hard when you start a new job.
Now I have another question for you experts...I have this bird feeder that is quite old. It has a plastic cylinder in the middle. The racoon's busted it on the bottom and then age set in. I came up with this great idea...(I bought a new remote) I took the back off the package and taped it to the cylinder and it worked great. But I have noticed that the birds are not coming like they use to...I used to have to fill it every day but now it is more like every 5th day. Of course I put the color part on the outside and my question is...do they see color, could that be scaring them? Just wondered your thoughts....

This is what it should look like
and this is what it looks like now.....
Well the plans are coming together for the trip to Bangor for Rand's Wedding Sept. 11th. Got the hotel reservations, got the plane tickets and I think I have the rental cars taken care of...can you believe it is cheaper to get two full size cars than to get one that will fit five of us?
Well today is a big day for Dad he has lived as long as Grammy Willett and he is pleased with himself for that. Hope you all (grandkids) sent him a card...he is counting on this one.
Well I guess that is about it for this week, hope you have a great week, and remember take good care of you because no one loves you like you do!
Lots of Love
