Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week. Mine has not been too exciting...so I really don't have much to say this morning but lets see how much rambling I can do.
Last Saturday, Diana joined me on my visit to Dad's. She usually goes to Dad's on Sunday but she had agreed to go shopping with Stacey in Orlando for new clothes for her new job. In her present job...guess you could say old job, yesterday was her last day it was casual attire but in the new job that is not the case. Diana said she got some really great deals and used lots of coupon to aid in her saving. Stacey is moving this weekend and will start her new job at a hospital in Jacksonville on Monday. Want to wish her all kinds of luck but I am sure she will do fine.
Also last Saturday, Lana & Shari joined us for dinner. Lana will not be here for Dad's birthday on the 31st, she will be in NY state. We dined at Shell's in Melbourne. Wasn't too pleased with them that day but I guess we all have our days. Lana & Shari leave on the 27th for Rochester to visit Shari parents and will return on the 3rd which is Lana's birthday.
Got to say I am excited that one of my idea's worked out. As I have mentioned I bring in my bird feeders every night so not to encourage the raccoons to visit my yard. I have been sitting them on the floor in the garage but wanted to get them up. Went to Home Depot and bought a 10 ft section of PVC. Had it cut in two, got large S hooks and hung them from the rafters of the garage and it works. Think I will get a couple more just in case we get a hurricane so I can hang my plants on them also. WOW I am pleased with myself on this one.
Sister Judy is really looking forward to this weekend. "The Marshall clan" is having its annual picnic. So Jess and Casey will be there, they are bring a friend and her baby to get her out of NY city Of course Kyle & Erica will be there plus all three dogs. I know they will have a great time and Judy will just be pleased to have them all there!
Sister Helen is in Albuquerque with Dean & Jeri and family. Hope she is enjoying herself and I am sure she is if she is doing what she does best. She will be returning home to Maine on the 2nd.
It has been so warm her I have had to water my plants just about everyday and I have still lost some.
I generally don't put birthdays in only if it is in the week I am sending but...Next Saturday my Dad will turn 93 so if you are free to do so, would you send him a card...e-mail will be fine. It should brighten up his day. His e-mail is rpwillett@bellsouth.net or if you want to send him a card by regular mail...1844 Washington Ave. Melbourne, Fl 32935. It is just my suggestion but I think for sure Grandchildren/Great Grandchildren should do that.
Also on the same day dear friends Carol & Gary Powers will celebrate their annivseray, Want to wish them the very best, they deserve it!
Friend Karen has hurt her back again and is in lots of pain. On top of that her horse Bo has a virus and she is having to go out there and hose him down and see he gets the proper care. Rough
Got a question for you experts out there...Dad loves his tea but it is staining his white cups. Does anyone have an idea of how to take those stains out?
Todd came out to help me in the yard on Thursday, still battling those vines. He was working up a storm when a bee stung him right in the center of his arm pit. He was not a happy young man I will tell you that!
Yesterday was Baxley Manor Day and lots of thanks to some of my friends that help keep this as an on going project. This is just a small group of people that are living from day to day and I know there are thousands that are living the same way.
On Wednesday evening I attended the Federally Employed Women meeting in Rockledge. Most of the Board had just return from the National Conference in New Orleans. Of course they learned a lot and brought back a lot of good info but the thing that concerned me is what they said everything cost there. It must be quite difficult for the people that live there.
So pleased this week we confirmed our flight to Portland, got our room reserved at the Holiday Inn in Bangor, just have to settle on how much we are going (me) to pay for a rental car. When that is done we will be ready for the big wedding September 11th.
I guess that is about it for this week. Please take good care of you, cause no one loves you like you do!!
Lots of Love
