Good morning all, hope that all has gone well with you this week! Mine was kind of a mixture of minor things. The weather continues to be quite warm and I can't say we haven't had any rain. On Tuesday, I sprayed the vines on both side of the house in hopes of killing them. Not sure if you know what I mean, they are not vines that we have planted they are wild. My neighbor on the right of me is alone and only keeps a small part of her yard kept up so the vines are really growing and they go from tree top to tree top and are now on some of my trees. Anyway to make a long story short after spending several hours out there in the hot sun.............the sky opened up and poured buckets for over an hour. I am not sure if I want I did is for not or not.
I complain about working out in the heat Diana comment about that very day was she was glistening from the heat and after the shower she was in a sauna.
Dad and I had dinner at the Longhorn in Vi era on Saturday. He was very impressed with the service. In other words there was no waiting. On Wednesday we tried a new place for lunch called the Harbor City dinner. Believe it or not he liked it. He will not eat dessert out (he certainly eats it at home) so I noticed one of their specialties was apple pie. So I got him a piece for home. When I asked him that night how the pie was, he said it was good but the apples were not done!
Dad seems to be doing very well, suffering because he is alone all the time but other than that, he feels fine and gets around well. That is really a blessing. Got a note from Gloria and Aunt Ruby fell and broke her hip. They had to take her to Bangor for surgery and she is having a hard time. She is back at the Presque Isle Nursing home, here is her address so you can send her a card, I am sure she would like that.

Gloria and Don spent time with her while she was in Bangor, Marvia who lives in TX I believe came home to stay with her for a week before returning home. I believe she is a physical therapist. Then the ball will be in Carla's court again. I think the hardest job is being a care giver, it is such a thankless job.
On Monday evening I had my Planning & Zoning Meeting in Viera. Takes about 40 minutes to get there and the meeting didn't last 30.
Finally got my tree removed, thought that I was going to have to tackle it but yesterday they cut it up and took it off. Those vines are killing everything.
Liz & Rik son Ian will turn 15 on the 17th. Very Happy Birthday to you Ian. Also want to wish my dear friend Lori a very happy birthday on the 20th, she will be 27...
On Thursday evening I met with that old gang of mine from work. There was good news and not so good news but it is always a relaxing evening with them.
Felt so bad for sister Helen, she was so excited about her granddaughter Zoe coming to visit her. She had all kinds of things planned for her, places to go and people to see. But it seems as soon at Zoe landed in Boston she was ready to go back home. She is only 13 and had not been that far away from home before. So the panic began to find a flight back home. Sorry folks, maybe it is just me but she should be glad I am not her grandmother because she would have roughed it out I am afraid. But she and Helen flew to ABQE on Thursday so now she is back home.
Stacey is so happy with her new job, she will start on the 26th. She will be living for a short while with Paul parents in St. Augustine. I know she was so worried that she would not get a job before she was laid off but all worked out just fine. Paul is stationed in Kuwait and I am not sure when he will be back home. Feel so bad for our guys that are putting their lives on the line.
I guess that is about it for this week, not a lot going on. Please take good care of yourself and let me hear from you.
Lots of Love
