June 26, 2010

Good Morning all, hope that you week has been uneventful or it is has it was a wonderful surprise!  Got to tell you right now, there is not much news this week so I will just ramble for a little bit!

It has been quite warm here with little or no rain.  I have tried to work in the yard every morning trying to keep up with the weeds.  It is funny the weeds seem to do well without water but the plants don't!

Joyce has been busy getting odd's and end's done at Dad's.  As most of you know it is so easy to get bugs in your house in Fl.  So the sisters all went together and paid for a year's service for Dad.  It is so hard to come up with something to get him that he needs or will use, this way we will all benefit from his gift.

Last Saturday evening Joyce, Dad and I had dinner at Shell's.  Dad is very impressed with the place which is great it give me an other option of places to take him.  There are hundreds of restaurants in Melbourne but he will only go to a select few.  It is going to be hard to chose a place to go this evening because Joyce had Lobster for him last night!

Sunday was a very quiet day around here, Bill heard from most of his children and we both were pleased about that.

On Monday I met Joyce and my friend Karen for lunch at Chili's.  Karen has been watching Joyce's run for the house in Maine and was very impressed with her.  We had a great lunch and we really solved allot of the world's problems but somehow it doesn't show.  Karen had books for me for Baxley and when we went to put them in the trunk of my car..........there was a good size scratch on my bumper and a chip of paint missing on my trunk.  Of course no one left a note saying they did it.  I was quite upset but over the course of the week I have gotten an estimate ($740) talk to my insurance company, made an appointment to get it fixed on Monday.  But it still irritates me that someone would do that and not own up to it.

On Tuesday evening the Federally Employed Women celebrated their 40 years together.  It was quite impressive, all those years and the majority of the former Presidents were in attendance.  We (former Presidents) were all given a rose...very nice.

On Wednesday morning I headed for Dad's early he had some good size limbs that needed trimming and my power saw was just the one to tackle it.  It was warm out but between Joyce and I we got it all done and hauled out to the road.

On Thursday Joyce and I had a day of beauty very enjoyable and relaxing.  Everyone should do that once in a while.  Joyce spent the night, which really pleased both Bill and I.  I was especially grateful because the house was cool (now I didn't say cold, but cool).

Got lots of Birthday's this week starting with Kyle on the 29th...and it will be his 29th Birthday.  Hope you have a wonderful birthday Kyle!  Then on the 30th, Helen's granddaughter Charlie will be three!  Gosh time flies doesn't it.   She happens to be the only Birthday person that I have a picture of.

Also on the same day dear sister Judy will celebrate and I won't tell you how old she will be!  She is a jewel and deserves the best of birthdays!

Then on July first Charlie's Mom celebrates her birthday!  Want to wish you all the very best week ever!

Joyce will be leaving for home on Monday, Dad is surely going to miss her.  It is wonderful to have my sisters come for Dad but it takes a few days after they leave for him to feel himself again.

Sad news, Diana's dog passed away yesterday and the whole family is having a hard time with the loss.  I know it is hard from experience but Dad is still having a hard time with the loss of Cisco!

Well something is eating my plants...even the blossom's.   I spoke to my Bug Man about it and he suggested that I use Dawn soap......so this morning that is what I am going to do...I should have clean plants...just hope it does the job on bugs!

Hope you have a great week, let me hear from you and remember please take good care of yourself....no one does that job better than you!

Lots of Love
