Good morning all, hope you have had a great week. The weather here has been warm and not much rain. For those of you that do not live in Florida it can rain on one side of the road and the sun will be shining on the other. The other night about three miles from us they had quite a storm, we had the dark clouds and could hear the thunder but not a drop of rain.
After I sent Just Chatting last Saturday I tackle the com presser ( did point out it was heavy, think it was a commercial one) I asked Bill to get me a rope, oh he got me a rope all right it was a big chain. I could have pulled a boat with it. Anyway after many times tipping over I got it out to the road. A lady stopped and told me she didn't think the trash man would take it, and I told her I was not worried about it. Sure enough with in the hour it was gone.
Last Saturday Dad and I had dinner at Applebee's. We had to get home for the Belmont at 6:20 (actually it was about 635). We were all set to watching the race started and the light went out with 45 seconds of the race left! But all worked out well everything came back on and we got to see the winner.
On Monday, I had lunch with Karen (didn't you notice things looked better ). Then off to my Planning & Zoning Meeting in Viera. First of all the chairman was supposed to be there but didn't show up, so I had to conduct the meeting. To me it was a strange request...This is a two story building and they have a gift shop in it as well as a little store (didn't go inside so I am not sure what it looks like) but they were asking for a permit to serve beer & wine there. It seems it is like a cyper home away from home for the people that work on the boats at the port. They come there to e-mail their family, store there personal items, buy shampoo etc...and the owner would like to be able to serve them wine or beer if they like. They are picked up by a taxi or bus and brought there. My biggest concern is they only have 7 parking places and the commissioners had waved the parking restrictions for that business. I did not think that was right, and voted no but it passes anyway.
On Tuesday Todd came over nice and early and started painting my swing set. Got to start calling it something else...any suggestions... Here he is hard at work

On it I have my bird feeders as well as plants...it will never be a swing set again He did a great job but the wood had never been painted before and it really soaked up the paint. I believe it needs another coat but it was so hot when he finished to do it again.
The other great thing that happened on Tuesday was sister Joyce won her primary for the house in Maine! She has worked hard and sad to say she has only just begun! [Time to put a picture up again...] Now that she has that behind her she is coming to Florida for a couple of weeks to spend time with Dad and to rest up. () As always we are all looking forward to her visit!
The only birthday I have for this week is my wonderful granddaughter Stacey, she will celebrate on Friday the 18th. Hope she has a great birthday!
Try to work every morning in my yard if possible, the weeds seem to do a lot better than my flowers Here are some pictures of my yard just outside my porch...love it! Every morning I have butterflies and hummingbirds just having a ball out there. Wish I could have gotten a picture of that but this will have to do...

I bet David could get them for me...here are some he send to me and I know I could get the hummingbird if I could take this shot

Bet & Don are on their around the country trip, haven't heard from her yet, but she promised she would keep in touch.
Well I guess that is about it for this week, please let me hear from you and take good care of you!
Lots of Love
