April 10, 2010

Good morning all, hope all is well with you!  Got to say this was a busy plus a sick week for me.  I started coming down with a sinus problem, then to add to that allergies, not a fun time for me.  I have to be so careful because I have had pneumonia twice and ended in the hospital but this time it just got as far as bronchitis.  I can't say I feel a 100% as yet but thanks to the wonderful med's the Dr. gave me I am on my way.

On Saturday Dad and I had our dinner at Olive Garden, not sure if it is the coffee and the chairs or if he really likes the food.  What really surprised me was he took home a doggy box which is very unusual for him, never believed in that kind of thing.

On Sunday morning I got up at around 4:30 am and went to the church and fixed the drinks.  First service was at 6:30 and I wanted them to be ready.  Then off to work at the Press site.  Got to say this launch was very unusual, we always get ton's of calls asking all sorts of questions.  This time it did not happen, not one crazy call.  Went back in at midnight and worked until quarter of 7.  It was a beautiful launch and it went right on time.

At 3 pm on Monday I went to my Planning & Zoning meeting in Viera.  I think it lasted all of seven minutes, nothing to exciting.

I got a bunch of wonderful cards not only in the regular mail but on line.  Thanks so much for the wishes.  Also, got a cake and a beautiful  potted flower from Dawn for my birthday, the girls wanted to take me out for dinner but I was just overwhelmed with my cold by then.  We will make it another time.  Dawn & Bill went out for dinner on Sunday at the Red Lobster I thought that was very nice.

Well it has been a while since I have had a new pictures of grand niece Charlie got this one yesterday, it was taken while she was at the zoo and with her dog.  Isn't she beautiful and growing up so fast!

I know sister Helen is quite proud of all of her grandchildren but we only seem to get pictures of Charlie but that is ok she brightens up the day!

Diana is quite pleased she has a new mail route which gives her five days a week and the week end off.  Seems that is only right since she had been at the Post Office now I believe 29 years.

Stacey is desperately look for a new job, she has been told she would be laid off in the fall, of course she won't be the only one at the Center that will have that.  Hopefully she will be lucky and find a job she likes and likes her.  She went to CA this weekend to visit an old room mate and to all so see her Aunt Debbie.

Brother-in-law David sent me this picture of a turkey that he took not far from his home in MA.  Not sure if it is wild or not but it sure is a healthy turkey.  Reminds me of when we had turkeys that love anything that is shinning, and would follow Nancy's car out the driveway.  It used to really upset her.

Was quite please I finally got out income tax done, even though I felt rotten it got done...that is it for another year.  Don't know why it upsets me so to do it, thanks to H&R Block and tax cut they have made it very easy.  Hope you have yours done, not too many more days before it is due.

At the Center they have been taking all different groups picture with the shuttle as it rolls out.  Stacey had told me about it quite sometime ago, in a why I felt bad that I would not get one but guess what?  Tuesday, everyone at the press site (the group) will get their picture taken with Atlantis as it rolls out to the pad.  Really looking forward to that, it is great that Bet and I have been asked to be in the picture, quite thoughtful don't you think?

Well I guess that is about it for another week, not much news.  Do know that Pat is in rehearsal for another program but other than that I think that is it for the news...  Please take good care of yourself!

Lots of Love
