March 6, 2010

Good morning all, hope that you have had a great week.  Got to say the cold lingers here in Florida.  This has been a very unusual winter for us...sure we get a few cool days but this year we have had a lot!  Poor Helen picked the wrong winter to spend in Fl.,  but on the other hand it isn't as cold as it would be if she was in Waterville, Maine

Well last Saturday started out with a roar, right after I sent out just chatting I got the news that niece Liz, Rik and the boys were in Maui on vacation.  If you recall they had a bad earthquake in Chili and expected the big wave to hit Hawaii that morning about noon.  So it was a big worry day, we worried while they got gas, then we worried until we knew they were safe in the mountains....then no wave Thank The Good Lord!  They arrived safely home on Sunday.  They had a wonderful time there, surfing, snorkeling, they loved it and really hated to return to the snow and NH.  Grabbed a couple pictures of them while they were enjoying their good time.

Also on Saturday, my grandson moved into his bachelor pad (so to speak)  He and three other young men have leased a house in Orlando.  I am told it is a real bachelor pad....the living room has a big screen tv and one chair.  The kitchen has a table and one chair  He is looking for a job over there and I wish him the best of luck!!!

Granddaughter Stacey's boyfriend leaves this week for Afghanistan.  Paul will be there for a year.  Please remember him in you prayers.

Dad, Helen and I enjoyed our dinner at Long Horn last Saturday.  It is a ride to get there but Dad enjoys talking about how much everything has changed on the road to get there.

Helen starts her trip north next Saturday and I will be riding/driving with her to NJ.  Then Judy will ride with her to Boston.

Talk about Birthday's....Cousin Jack Adams will celebrate on the 7th,  then his brother Chris will celebrate on the 10th along with my dear friend Kari, then on the 12th Robbie wife Jennifer will celebrate!  Want to wish you all the best of Birthdays!!  Also on the 12th my good friend Bet & Husband Do will celebrate their 51st anniversary!  What a week the very best to all of you!

Well it looks like GM is going to except my deal but not quite yet.  Not real sure what is going on but this morning I will go pick up my new car but we won't sign the papers on it until sometime next week.  Wish me luck.

Well I guess that is about it for this week, got meetings and Dr's appointments next week and so does Dad.  Maybe I will have something interesting to say then  Please take good care of you!

Lots of Love
