March 13, 2010

Howdy all, hope that you have had a great week!  Well first we were complaining because it was too cold, now we wish it would stop raining.

I did get in one day of yard work, got my roses all fertilized and weeded.  Now to tackle the rest of the yard!

Last Saturday Dad, Helen and I had dinner at UNO's the food was good but found it to be a bit noisy for Dad.  Helen said the clam chowder was very good.....

Not to much news this week, so this will be short.

Dad has been to the Dr. this week just about everyday.  Different Dr's but still a Dr.  I told you that he  had a surgery on his leg, he went on Monday and they were not happy with the way it was healing.  The nurse has come everyday this week and he went back yesterday.   They wee pleased with the healing, now the nurse will only come three days a week, he goes back on the 24th.   He also had his eyes checked and  he has to go back next Sat. morning for a visit.

On Monday I had my planning & zoning meeting, just love it when we have hogs in zoning.  This couple lives in Mims (very country) and they have two hogs, someone turned them in because the zoning they have will not allow hogs.  They are short .7 of and acre of having Agricultural Zoning with the zoning they have they can only have the one hog!  They have raised them as pets!  I have never heard so much sympathy for hogs in my life!  They were ready to give them the zoning for two pigs but were only able to approve the one with a strong recommendation to the Commissioners that they should be able to keep both!

Last week I mentioned that Stacey's boyfriend Paul was shipped out to  Afghanistan, actual it is Iraq.  Both is as bad as the other when they put our young men in harm's way.  He is there already and as soon as I get his address I will pass it on to you, I am sure many of you will send him cards to let him know we all care about him.

Here is a picture of he and Stacey before he left....

Got several birthday's this week.  Nephew William is 26 today.  Happy Birthday Will!   Then on the 15th Stephanie will celebrate her birthday, best of the day to you!  Then on the 16th Dean & Jeri will celebrate their 19th anniversary!  The best to you both!

Well Helen & I will be off to NJ soon, I know it will be a great trip.  Just hope it stops raining!

Todd seems to be happy out on his own, but still has not found a job.  But I am sure he will soon.  He has acquitted a love for left overs that he didn't have when he was home, take out left overs that is.

Last night Helen, Diana and I went to a movie which we all enjoyed, and had dinner at Chili's.  Kinda like a goodbye party for Helen, we will miss her, it has been quite and experience for her and us.

Well we are off, have a great week and remember please take good care of you!
Lots of Love
