March 20, 2010

Good Morning all, hope that you have had a great week!.  Can't say I can brag about our weather really until yesterday.  Beautiful day, clear and 70 more like Florida.  I read somewhere this has been the coldest winter in Florida in recorded history.  Really don't know if that is true, but it is in my mind.

Last Saturday morning Helen and I left for NJ.  It was a nice day and very few showers.  We were aiming for Rocky Mount, NC on that first day but ended up in Benson, NC.  Would highly recommend if you stop there not to stay at the Days Inn.  It was not what we hoped for but the beds were clean and we were tired.  The 2nd day was not to nice almost constant showers on the way.  I convinced Helen to take my route thru the Shenandoah Valley and thru the mountains.  It is a beautiful drive and it gets you away from the DC traffic.  A little longer drive but well worth it!     We arrived at the Marshall's around 7 that night.  Helen's car is a 91 Saab, small but it runs nice, not a bad trip!  Nice visit with Judy & Greg and then home while Helen continued her jouney to Maine.  All went well, it was great having her here and we will miss her, especially Cisco!

Lana leaves for Ariz on Wednesday for a week and I am going to try to hold down the fort for her while she is gone.  Hopefully Dad won't have anything really pressing but I will be ready if he does.

I am sure he would love to hear from all here at home, got to think about sending him a package...I remember when my nephew was over there he liked Oreo's   Paul is a platoon leader so I am sure he is under a lot of stress.

You will be pleased to know the deal on my car is final.  I have a 2010 DTS for a 09 DTS and it cost me under what I had said I would give them.   Really proud of myself that I stuck to my guns on this one.  I know you will be pleased because you won't hear me whinnying anymore about it.

Well it looks like we don't have any birthday's or anniversaries this week.  If I missed you please let me  know.

Well the weather is suppose to be better next week and hopefully I can get out in my yard.  There is certainly lots to do out there.  Got some tree's to cut and if Todd is available maybe I will get him to do it.

Not to much to say this week, the week has really flown by with not to much going on.  Next week between Dad & Bill I will be going to Dr. appointments with them.

Please take good care of you!

Lots of Love
