February 13, 2010

Well what a slow week this has been nothing too exciting has happened, so this is one of those weeks that I will just ramble on.

Last week-end was a busy one for me, not use to being up so late.  On Sunday morning Bet and I stopped and had breakfast before heading home.  Believe me that over night stuff takes getting use to.  Lana does it all the time but she has done it for years so it isn't anything new to her.  People were a little depressed with the news that the constellation program was being dropped.  Several of them knew that their jobs wouldn't be lasting to much longer.  As you all know I am a big fan of the Space Exploration program and really hate that we are backing down.  Hopefully it will all work out.  Got some crazy calls while working as well as some great calls.  One was from a lady in Germany wanting me to thank the astronauts and everyone in the program.  She said she was watching it live and was enthralled with it.  On Monday the day of the launch Bet had a 9:30 Dr. appointment...wonder how that went she had to be dragging!

I told you about the tree in my neighbor's yard that fell. Well her it is!

Her brother cut it all up in small pieces and put to the road.  Someone loaded it all up in their pick-up (I seen them do it) for fire wood I guess.

Bill has not been feeling all that great this past week, tried to get him to go to the Dr. but he refused because he has an appointment on Tuesday.  He fell again and it is always so hard for me to help him up.  But thankfully he didn't hurt himself more.  Then yesterday he had a call from his son Billy telling him that son David had passed away.  We have not been able to confirm that yet.

Our weather here has not been normal for Florida.  It has been quite cool, in fact it looks like it is going to snow ad  this morning we have a wind chill advisory until 9 am.  But I know a lot of you up north have had lots of snow.  This came from my sister in NJ.

Caption for the one below should be "  The snow is so high above me I can't even find a place to pee"

Want to wish my Granddaughter Krista a very Happy Birthday on the 17th, time just flies and she is worried about getting older  Beautiful young girl and I wish her the very best!  Then on the 18th cousin Carla will celebrate her birthday.  Best wishes for the best of Birthday's Carla!

Judy & Greg are off to NC this weekend, partly to visit his sister and partly to look the place over for retirement maybe.  I know that it was a long trip for them because when I talked to them about 8:45 last night they were driving on glass at 25 mph.  Boy does that bring back memories.  I'll take Fl with it cool weather anytime.

Sister Joyce is off and running for the House of Representatives in Maine.  Believe she has everything she needs to run.  Now it is my turn, got the papers in the mail that is time for me to run for office in the North Merritt Island Special District.  So I got to get my package and start collecting signature from people on NMI.

Had a nice visit with Dad and Helen on Wednesday.  Bet had given me some peanut bridle for Christmas and I love it but decided to make the big sacrifice and save it for Dad.  So I took that to him on Wednesday.  He told me whatever you do don't lose her as a friend she makes the best peanut bridle

Stacey called yesterday to wish Bill a Happy Birthday and to invite me to go to the movies on Sunday.  She wants to see Valentines Day.

Speaking of Valentine's day, hope that you have loving day.  Remember when we were in grade school and the teacher would put out (a hat box I think) all decorated with hearts and everyone would put there valentines in it for their special friends.  Everyone one got lots of them...it was neat.  Can't remember when I have gotten a valentine card.

Well I guess that is it for this week, please take good care of you and let me hear from you!

Lots of Love
