January 30, 2010

Good morning all, hope that you have had a wonderful week.  I finally started cutting back my rose bushes.  Should have done that last month but you know that old saying shoulda, coulda but didn't.  I have a bunch of them so hopefully I will finish them be for Wednesday before they pick up the yard trash.

I have gotten this wonderful (sic) skin problem called eczema.  If you  have never had it count yourself blessed.  I called the dermatologist and could get in until April 27th.  So I went to my regular Dr. and he told me it was caused by the cold dry weather, plus the fact it is genetic.  He prescribed some liquid hydro cortisone for the itching.  Also suggested that I use lots of lotion on my body to compact the dryness.  Thanks to Bet she recommended her dermatologist and I am going on Tuesday.  I tell you it is enough to drive you crazy.

Last Saturday Dad, Helen and I went to Olive Garden.  He really like the chairs that roll and the fact they bring you an urn of coffee so you don't have to asked about refills.

I got such a kick out of Dad, he was telling me he wasn't hard to fix a meal for....he just likes the old fashion meal.  Potatoes (he said there were several ways you can fix them) String Beans and some kind of meat.  But he didn't mention he doesn't like chicken, and he thinks turkey is too dry and any other meat that you give him can't have a speck of fat on it anywhere.   No he isn't hard to fix a meal for

On Tuesday evening I attended my FEW meeting in Cocoa Beach.  The speaker topic was Diversity.  She was very good and one of the things that she said that stuck with me was that most problems with race is unintentional.

Wednesday I visited Dad and Helen.  Pleased to report that Cisco is getting around better and he seems to be eating better.

Also took my car in to get it washed.  I asked if Todd was there and she told me no and asked me if I was his grandmother and I said yes.  Well believe it or not she gave me a great discount, couldn't believe it.  Will have to remember to mention his name more often

Want to wish Jerri a very Happy Birthday on Sunday the 31st.  You deserve the best of days!  Also want to wish Uncle Gib a Happy 82nd birthday on the 4th.  He is not doing well so please keep him in your prayers.

On Thursday, I took Betsy (my car, my grandfather always called his car Betsy so I took over for him).  While I was waiting I got into a conversation with a lady who asked me if what I had was catching, when I told her no she suggested I use Olive Oil for the itching.

So on yesterday I attended a friends retirement party at Viera, he has worked for the County for 30 years.   I really had to dig to find a long sleeve blouse to wear so people didn't think I had something that was catching.  Believe me I douched myself well before I went in so I wouldn't scratch. It really isn't funny but I try.

William worked very hard in Dad's yard yesterday, can't wait to see it.  thanks so much William we all appreciate it.

Next week end looks like it will be a busy weekend.  We have launch on Sunday morning at 4:39 am.

Well I guess I have rambled on eough with what is going on with me.  Hope all is well with you and yours.  Remember take good care of you!
Lots of Love
