Good Morning all, hope this has been a great week for you, thankfully the weather has warmed up some here but they tell us to leave our plants alone. So that tells me they think it is going to get cold again.
Dad is still working on his computer trying to get it back to where it use to be. What do I know about that stuff........nothing that is for sure. Helen has spent a great deal of time working on it not to mention how much time Dad has devoted to it and of course it still doesn't work.
We dinned at Applebee's on Saturday, because Dad was so impressed with the bill from the week before. They have a special that you get two full meals for $20 and he likes that cost.
The family has had some exciting news this last week. Trying to make a long story short...While my Uncle Gib was in the service in Germany he fathered a child. I just vaguely remember it being talked about. They tried very hard to get her over here but was not successful. Then we never heard about it again until last week. This young man inquired at the town office of where we were born trying to find information about his Grandfather. He had his birth place correct and his birthday. Thankfully, there was a cousin of our working in the office and he steered him to sister Joyce. Sadly my Uncle Gib is not well but all of the information that he has seemed to match up to what we have. Of course it would be easy to do a dna test and prove it and maybe that will happen but in the mean time we are excited about finding him.

We haven't been blessed with a picture of Helen grandchild Charlie for a long time. It seems she attended a Dallas football game with her Dad.

She is sure growing up fast.
Then this week we have a special birthday coming up..."Great" nephew Jacob will celebrate his 10th birthday on the 26! Hope it is a great birthday for a great boy!
I am head of the nomination committee for our chapter of the Federally Employed Women. I have been trying to convince people to run for office. But it is very difficult considering they don't know how much longer they will have a job.
Yesterday we did Baxley Manor and as always they were happy to see us. It is so sad to think that there are so many seniors out there that are having a hard time. I know it is sad everywhere but you pray that once you get older life won't be so hard.
Well yesterday we got something done to our driveway. I am not sure what it was, thought that they were going to pave it but I am sure it will be better than it was. Several years ago we had shell put on it and it made it more stable but it has broken down and the water sets in the ruts. So hopefully this will last a long time also.
Got this in an e-mail and thought it was worth passing on. There are four things that you cannot recover in life:
(1) The Stone..........after it's thrown,
(2) The Word...............after it's said,
(3) The Occasion......after it's missed, and
(4) The Time.............after it's gone.
Well I think I have just about run out of things to chat about. Hope you have a great week and remember take good care of you and let me hear from you!
Lots of Love
