Dad seems to be doing well. He worries a lot about Cisco because his back legs are not too strong. They are both hanging on for each other.
Dad and I went to Olive Garden lasts weekend and all of Melbourne chose to do the same. It is the Family place or so Dad says guess he had seen it on TV.
Lana leaves for 10 days tomorrow for Rochester, NY. She and Shari will spend Christmas with Shari folks. She is so excited to see snow and is really looking forward to it. Dad on the other hand is not so pleased, he has really tried to make her feel guilty about leaving him but we are going to do our best to fill her shoes while she is gone.
On Tuesday, Bet and I attended the NASA Alumni meeting in Cape Canaveral. There was quite a turn out and we got to see a lot of old friends.
On Wednesday, I took Cocoa to the groomer's and went to visit Dad for a couple of hours.
Then Wednesday evening I met Karen for dinner at Chili's, we had a great meal, and solved all the worlds problems again but no one listens.
Got to say I have had two Christmas blessing before Christmas this year! On Sunday our church collected Christmas gifts for children at the Sharing Center and we usually get some gifts but this year it looked like we collected a lot more. Then yesterday we did Baxley Manor we had gifts for everyone and they were so happy, it made my heart feel so good that we all could make this possible. Because of people generosity we were also able to fill their pantry with much needed goods! That makes it a wonderful Christmas for me! Right now my biggest problem is to write a thank you note to all that participated in this wonderful thing and I know I am going to have a problem coming up with just the right words!
Well are you all ready for the big celebration of Christ Birthday? Can't say that I am but as always I am looking forward to it!
Tomorrow Pat & Dave are going to pick Bet and I up to go see the Candle light Service at Disney. We are looking forward to it but it is supposed to be cold!
I mentioned last week about my (great) nephew participating in We The People and thought that is was a debate group but I found out that it was not. "We the People: The Citizen & the Constitution is a nationally acclaimed civic education instructional program that enhances students' understanding of the institutions of American constitutional democracy while allowing students to discover the contemporary relevance of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The primary goal of "We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution" is to promote civic competence and responsibility among the nation's elementary and secondary students. The design of the instructional program, including the innovative culminating activity, is what makes the program a success." Alex and his group won the Regional's in New Hampshire and now they will be going for State. We wish them the best of luck.
Within a blink of an eye, 2009 is on its' back and soon to be gone! A big "Thank You" to each and everyone of you, for the huge impact you had on my life this year. Especially for all the love and support and all the e-mails I received.......without you, I'm sure that 2009 would have been extremely boring. And to those who need someone special, may you find that true love To those who need money, may your finances overflow To those who need caring, may you find a good heart To those who need friends, may you meet lovely people.
Have a wonderful Christmas and remember please take good care of you!
Lots of Love
