I keep saying every year that I am going to get a bargain at the Black Friday sales that they have but so far I have not managed to do that and don't think this year will be any different. Do you go to the Black Friday sales? Diana and a friend have big hopes for it this year.....
How are you doing with the time change? I always feel like I lose an hour no matter if we fall back or jump forward it takes a while for me to get use to it.
Still have not got my router hooked up poor Shari has been sick, but thankfully I have the Internet but only my laptop is set up for Skype so I guess until she feels better I will be without it.
Friend Bet made a big batch of Peanut Bridle for Dad and he was so pleased, he has tried to buy it in the store and it isn't like home made. He says it is an art to make and Bet does a great job. Also took him my homemade apple sauce which he can't say if he likes it or not because Lana puts his liver med's in it and he hates that. Also took him a apple pie which I know he really enjoys.
We had a nice visit and then we went to the Olive Garden for dinner. He does very well but even a short distance puts him out of breath. But we both enjoyed our meal.
Judy and I are also trying to find the right food for Cisco, he has allergies, but at his age it would be too much on him to try to find out just what they are. So we have been getting his food from the Vet and I am sure you know that is very expensive but if it will help Cisco we are fine with it. But just like Dad he is very fussy what he eats and it is hard to find something he likes...but we keep trying. All we know is with this food he does not have an odor and his hair and skin looks much better.
I hate to be over optimistic but so far I have promises for over 20 Baxley Angels. Got a way to go but I just know in my heart we will be able to do it for them.
I know just how much most people love the port-a-potties but got to show you the one at the Edison Grand Opening....
I just love it, it was called the "Royal Flush" and had all the amenities Just had to share with you...
On Monday, Bet, Betty and I along with about 90 others attended Appreciation Day at the Center for our volunteering. Lots of talking, meeting friends that we had not seen in a long time and a great lunch.
One person I saw that was retired I don't think he is more than 50. Do you know Lori...Frank Valdez? I would like to see them make a special effort to thank those men that accompany those photographers out in never land. Most of them are over 80 and are still at it. Each time we work a launch we are given the mission pin for that launch but according to what we found out that day they will not be given them out any more...no money.
Got to tell you when I was coming home from Dad's on Wed, I felt something on my leg and I was about to knock it off when I saw that it was a yellow jacket. It seemed like forever before I was able to pull of the road and get rid of it. Thank goodness it didn't sting me! Then yesterday when I was working in the yard here came another one...just couldn't get rid of it, it especially love landing on my face but again I was lucky and escaped getting stung...really concerned about the third time is the charm
Another thing I would like to point out if you don't save your tabs of your drinks you should. Ronald McDonald house needs them, they sure provide a wonderful service for those parents with children in the hospital. I have saved them for quite sometime giving them to the school children that collect them but now I will be saving them for Ron...I am sure there is one in your area...if you are local I will see that the right person gets them.
Here is another picture I took on my trip...know it doesn't look like much with the picture small but when it is a little larger it is beautiful.
Well next week seems like it will be a busy week for me. I have several meeting I am scheduled to attend, plus our church fair is next Sat and will be working the launch up until the 16th. Will never get all my yard work done.
Please take good care of you and yours, love hearing from you!
Lots of Love
