Good morning everyone, hope that you have had a wonderful week!! My yard still looks pitiful, but each day I do a little bit. The weather here is quite warm so it is something I have to do early in the morning.
Dad is doing just fine, he loves all the company he has had and hopes it continues. Judy & Greg left on Tuesday for NJ and we all thought that it would be rough on him so I went down earlier and left about noon. The home health care nurse came right after I left and Lana was there also. Then my Nancy came to visit him. He had her go get his favorite sandwich and by that time everyone had left so they had a great afternoon together...talking and napping Just a hint here if you are a family member and have not sent a note to Dad or called him, he would love to hear from you. Just an e-mail would do, he is spending more time on his computer.
I had told my Priest how pleased Dad was that he called to check on him and he suggested that he come down to visit him. Dad has been very disappointed in his church in Melbourne, they have not been to visit him in years. So I met him there and Dad was very pleased with Fr. Roberts visit and he made arrangements to come back the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I know it is a long way for him to travel but he certainly made Dad's day.
On Thursday, I had a recall on my mammogram That happens about every 2 or 3 years so it doesn't alarm me. But they insist that you are there 15 minutes before your appointment then they make you wait...that does bother me.
I mentioned sometime back that Sister-in-law Sue and her husband Paul was talking about moving to AZ. I sent her a note them but never heard back from her. Just got a note from her this week and they have moved to Glendale, AZ. Really surprised me, they have a place at Thunderbird Retirement Resort and seem to really like it there. I wish them the best of luck! I thought they like NJ.
Since I have gotten home I have been unable to get my laptop going so I can Skype with my Dad and sisters. It says it is the router, and I was also having trouble getting my desk top up. So I bought a new router and Shari Bless her heart spent four hours trying to hook it up and just couldn't it insisted it needed an adaptor. So she is going to check with Dell as well as Lykee (router) to see what is wrong and will get back and try it again. But Sister Lana has to work most all of next week so it won't be until next week end that I might get it fixed. I know nothing about it so I will have to wait. But here is the funny part the next mroning when I tried to get on...it would not connect to the internet....so I called my provider and they sent someone out...to find out it was unplugged...don't know how that happened. Then Nancy called wanting some help with her quick book which I no nothing about but most likely I know a little bit more than her...so Sunday I am going to try to help her...
A couple of good ones about Dad, they Dr. told him he could not drive. Now he hasn't driven in about six months but now that he has been told he can't he is very upset about it and his drivers lic. is good until 1014. The other good one is if anyone calls and asks for Robert, he hangs up. He knows it no one he wants to talk to...No matter what you say to him, he will not change his mind.
Don't forget this is the weekend to turn you clock back.
Want to wish a very special Birthday wish to my dear friend Bet. She will be 21 tomorrow Then of course there is nephew Rand who will also celebrate tomorrow. Hope you both have the best of birthday's!!!
Think I mentioned to you that Judy had found if she puts his liver med's in apple sauce it wasn't so hard for Dad to take. Of course he is till complaining about it but he is taking it. I am sure I had made applesauce when the girls were little but had to look it up to see how do it again. It was easy and I hope Granny Smith makes it easier for him to take the med's.
On Wed I joined my old friends from Payloads for dinner. We all have plenty to talk about at least one of our parents is still with us and there are always something that we just need to talk about on how they are doing. Sadly Betty has both a parent that is giving her problems plus the fact her four year old granddaughter had some kind of parisite in her body but thankfully it looks like she will recover. But we had a great evening and I always enjoy being with them
Next week promises to be a busy week, on Monday I am going to an appreciation day at the center for volunteers. Tuesday I am meeting my friend Karen for lunch and Wed to Dad's...hope I can fit in some yard work in there somewhere.
Here are a few more pictures from my trip....

This gentleman set in the harbor at Eastport, Me...it was from a movie and it was donated, maybe some of you will recognize it.

Let me hear from you love to get your notes, want to express my thanks to those that sent notes about my Dad.
Please take good care of you!
Lots of Love
