Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Hope that you have had a great week, can't really complain about mine but I have been busy. My new car already has two thousand miles on it...and you wonder why Bill thinks I need to have a plate on my car that says "on the road still."
I was so pleased to learn that my Church made over five thousand dollars for the Sharing Center. It certainly took a lot of people to make it a success and I was glad to help in a small way. Always pleased to see my plants go quickly as well as the chili.
Dad has really taken a liken to Olive Garden and Longhorn Steak House. So on Saturday we had our dinner at the Olive Garden. It is funny if it is something he likes he will try to eat it all up, if not he reminds me he doesn't eat very much.
On Sunday I worked the Press Site getting ready for launch as well as I worked the launch on Monday. Always enjoy doing that. Always learn something new each time. But this time I had a call that really upset me and I still think about it. This young girl, I am guessing she was 12/13 called. She truly was upset she wanted to know if the world was going to end in 2012. No matter what I said to her she could not be comforted or helped to understand that it was a movie. Someone that she trusted told her it was so. I let someone else talk to her but when it was over she still did not have her answer. How someone could do that I cannot understand. Other than that all went well with launch and we launched right on time. If I have not sent you these launch pictures click here to view them.
Got a note from Bud (my brother-in-law) that he got married. It was a surprise to me.

It is never too late to be happy! Want to wish him and Lodema the very best!
Well I got to tell you the dumb thing I did! I told you I bought a dish washer but after I got it installed I didn't like it! So, I went back to Home Depot and picked out another one, which seems to be just what I wanted in the first place. It is a LG and so far I have heard nothing but praise about them. But it did cause Home Depot a little problem they have my old one on sale for $100 less than I paid for it. Bet called while she was there looking and told me about it. I have never done that in my life and hope I never do it again. But that is what I get for not liking to shop! Thankfully my daughters don't have that problem.
On Wednesday I took Dad to Macey's to get a new pair of shoes. I don't think he had a problem with me when he took me for shoes BUT, he had printed off their web site just the shoes he wanted. First of all I am sure they were have a big sale that day because the store was really crowed. Second of all they didn't have a 9 W shoe in the place! The young man that was trying to help us had to go find a computer to check just where we could get the shoes. They had to come from the warehouse, Dad only had his debit card with him and they wouldn't take that, then he tried to give him the money and he was not a register and couldn't take that! Dad was so upset he was shaking and walked out. I gave them my card and the shoes are on the way. Thought that it was taken care of but Lana tells me she is concern that the shoes won't fit him because the ones he has are old, and his feet swell. Oh my Lord, but then I remembered my sister Joyce is on her way here and she loves to shop...maybe she can take over from here
Daughter Diana and husband Dan will celebrate their 29th anniversary tomorrow. Want to wish them the very best! Then Dan celebrates his 21st birthday again on Monday. Hope it is a feel good day Dan! Happy Birthday! Then on the 27th dear niece Ann will celebrate her big day. Wishing you the very best Ann!
Yesterday was Baxley Manor Day, got to say I am happy that donations have pick up some of course you can expect that because people are always generous this time of year but we are very thankful for it! Also I am happy to say that everyone at Baxley will get a Christmas gift again this year. We were all concerned about that but I have some wonderful friends that came through for us.
Hope you are all ready for Thanksgiving. I have to say that again this year Pat & Dave are coming over to do all the work. They are just wonderful about doing it. I have so much baking to do before hand that I am whipped when Thanksgiving arrives. Stacey called and volunteered to come to help me on Sunday but I don't think anyone wants a pie or bread that is made that far ahead of time. Grandson Pat volunteered to come over and help Wednesday night but I pray I am all through with everything by then. But I really appreciate the offers. This year again we are going to try to eat early, because Stacey & Paul have to go to his parents house for dinner also. Aiming for 12 noon but hopefully all well go well. Oh well it is always a wonderful day and this year we are going to have a guest. Stacey is bringing Paul to dinner and we are all anxious to meet him.
Landing of Atlantis is scheduled for Friday after Thanksgiving. I just learned yesterday the time I have to go it...7a.m.
Took Bill to the VA on Friday to get his eyes checked and to have his ears cleaned out. Really hope the later does something for him I get tired repeating myself.
Well I guess I had better get moving, have to take Cocoa to the Vet at 8:30. I have so much to be thankful for and I am sure that you do also. Hope you have a great week and remember take good care of you!
Lots of Love
