Well howdy everyone! Hope all has gone well for you while I have been gone, I had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed by visit with everyone. Dad spent a few days in the hospital while I was gone, he had pains in his chest and arms, twice so Lana thought it was better to be safe than sorry. They couldn't find anything wrong but it gave us a few days of worry. Bill seemed to do fine while I was gone, his daughter Dawn came out a couple times and checked on him. His grandson Patrick even called him, that made him happy. Bill promised he would water my flowers while I was gone but if he did he used a wand and only did it once, because all of my hanging plants (which were beautiful when I left) died a painful death. My yard is a real mess so I will have plenty to do for a while. Had plants started for the Holiday Fair at the church, now I am not sure they are going to make it!
Started my trip out in Pattenburg, NJ it is in the northwest corner of NJ close to PA. Spent a couple of days there before Judy, Lilly and I left there for Milford, NH, where my niece Liz & family lives. Diana arrived on a direct flight from Orlando and guess what they had lost one piece of her luggage. Of course it was the one with the contact solution and the meds thaI had forgotten to bring. But, our worries were over when they delievered it at 2:30 am. Diana thinks someone else took it and didn't realize it until they got home. But it all turned out well .
Liz made some of her delicious seafood chowder, gosh it was good and then we had some homemade blueberry crisp. The weather was great, and we had a great visit with her, Rik and the boys. Gosh they are growing up so quick. While I mention that I would like to wish Alex a very happy birthday next Friday, the 23rd he will be 17! Both Ian and Alex are involved in football right now, in fact the whole family just loves sports.
Since I mentioned birthdays,.....would like to wish Zoe a belated Birthday on Wednesday, and Cousin Blair's birthday was yesterday. And a very Happy Birthday to dear friend Shirley hope you all have the best of birthday's!
The next morning we headed for sister Joyce's in Calais, Me. My sister Helen came over from Winslow to spend the weekend and a good time was had by all. It is always great to visit with Joyce & Jeff. Can not complain about the weather we only had the one day the whole time we were there that it rained all day. Not to say it didn't rain other days and it did looked dreary but I loved it. While we were there we learned that Joyce is going to run for House of Rep in her district next year. She knows she can make a difference and I have all my faith in her! I know she can!
After a few days at Joyce's we headed up to Fort Fairfield which is in Northern Maine. We hoped that we could find a place there to stay but nothing was available. So we had to settle for Presque Isle. We did a nice visit with my Aunt Ruby, she is still a wonderful person and I can see Mom in her. We also had a nice visit with my Dad's brother Don's son Ron. It was so nice to see him, I think he said the last time was in 86'. It seems that when we go up there we visit more people that our dead than alive. Got to say that I am as guilty as anyone on that matter, but when you are with Judy that changes and from now on we are going to make every effort to see more of our relatives while we are up there.
Didn't have to put flowers on the graves this time because the sisters had done it when they were up there earlier. But did put roses on my first husband grave.
Got some beautiful pictures up there (believe me it was cool). I am not the best photo taker so I hope you enjoy them.

Miss Lilly

These are just a few of the one that I took, it was breath takingly beautiful!
We returned to Joyce & Jeff's where we had traditional dinner

Believe me it was as good as it looks!
After a few more days at the Maker's we headed for Boston. My cousin Gloria (Aunt Ruby's daughter) who I have not seen since she was a teenager was on the way. She and her husband Don lives in Cape Neddick, Maine. It was so nice to see her and meet her husband who is a minister. Got to tell you each night I skyped with Dad so I could see how he was doing and every night he would see me and start to cry (he thought that I looked like my Mother) and say "Poor Old Thing" after this picture I can see why

Off to Boston we went and Judy and I stayed at Kyle's and Erica's and Diana stayed at Jess and Casey's. (it was felt that the Poor Old thing couldn't climb the stair at Jess, and they were most likely right) It was a short visit but we really enjoyed seeing them. I tell you one thing I would never live in Boston.....there is no place to park
Off to NJ we went the next day to get ready for the big grand opening of Thomas Edison National Park in West Orange, NJ. It was quite and event and brother-in-law Greg is the Grand Pu Paw thereheard someone say it so I had to do it! I guess I never realized what an inventor Edison was, did you know he had something like 1,900 patients? He was the first to use the assembly line...found it to be very rewarding and if you are ever in West Orange, you need to stop and see it!
We had a nice trip back and got to say that Judy is a great driver! It rained so hard that you could hardly see when we came through SC. I know Diana is a great driver also, it will just take more riding with her for me to be more confident in her...sorry Diana!
I have my new car and it is working great, I just love it. It seems so big after riding three weeks in a jag. I am sure I have forgotten something about my trip but I had a wonderful time, a bit chilly at times but I loved it!
Dad is in his glory with Judy visiting him, he loves to argue and Judy is the one to do it. Although sometimes it gets a little rough for her. But we are all blessed that she is with him.
Please keep the Spells in your prayers especially Dan.
Hope all goes well with you and yours this week, please take good care of you!
Lots of Love to all
